About Jude Mezger

We (Theo & Jude) are a married couple who live in the Hampshire countryside just an hour south west of London. We have 4 children, 2 of whom live in London. We find ourselves travelling up to London most weeks, often for a DIY projects when one of our children may need a hand.

We now, proudly, have two grandsons aged 2years 5 months and 8 months living in Battersea.. We love spending our time between the beauty of the Hampshire countryside and the excitement of London.

Jude Mezger purchased this apartment in 2009

Why Jude Mezger chose Kensington & Chelsea

We purchased this apartment in 2009 from a close relative. This apartment holds many happy memories for us as a family. Elm Park gardens is such a wonderful locations. Within 5 minutes you are able to access restaurants, shops, buses, all take you to the sights of London

What makes this apartment unique

Located in a traditional London mansion block, the apartment has many of the unique Victorian features with high ceilings and light rooms. This is combined with a modern feel to create a beautiful and relaxing open space.

The apartment is perfectly located for visiting the museums, shops, restaurants and bars of Kensington and Chelsea and is a great base for exploring the gems of London.

We are a short bus journey, or 15 minute walk from our wonderful Natural History Museum, Science Museum, V and A museum.

The V and A has the most wonderful Sculpture room, Tapestry Room and a wealth of exhibits.

We are 20 minutes walk to:

The Proms, at the Royal Albert Hall.

Chelsea Flower Show.

Wimbledon Tennis is shown live on a big screen at the Bluebird Cafe, 5 minutes walk away.

Please look at our REVIEWS which will tell you if other people enjoyed the flat and their experience of what to do in London.

There is a list of favoured restaurants in the flat. One of my guests, recently discovered FRANTOIO on the Kings Rd, 397 KINGS ROAD 02073524146 an Italian Restaurant that is a long standing customer selling JUDES ICECREAM.

If you wish to visit the Hampshire Country side a girlfriend , who is an artist, has just renovated the most beautiful barn in a pretty village called Alresford, near Winchester. A city that is full of history, the oldest capital of England.

Her web site is A car rental would be necessary. There is a car hire outlet at Winchester Station.

We hated to leave!

  • 5 of 5

We had an incredibly pleasant two week stay in Jude's lovely flat. As others have stated it is exactly as described. Great airy space, totally equipped, and the beds and bedding were most comfortable. Jude and Theo have to be two of the most gracious and genuine people on the planet. We visit London yearly so some of our adventures are a bit quirky. This year we did a legal London tour that was fascinating including observing an appeal at the Royal Courts of Justice and a trail at the Old Baily. The choir at the Brompton Oratory was spectacular. Kenwood House at the top of Hampstead Heath is not to be missed. The remains of the Roman amphitheater in the Guild Hall museum was quite a surprise. Counting all the Jude's ice cream signs all over London including those in the Houses of Parliament---such fun. Walks along the Thames from Battersea Bridge to Vauxhall were a great way to work off lunches in London's historic pubs. What a great visit and a great place to stay. We hated to leave!

Highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I have now stayed in this flat twice, most recently from June 9-20, 2016. We love it. It makes us feels like London residents rather than tourists. The owner's description is totally accurate. It is an open, airy, light, spacious and very clean flat in a wonderful neighborhood. It is a five minute or less walk to both Fulham Road and Kings Road and an easy and pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the South Kensington tube station. It is just a little farther to the V & A, Natural History and Science Museums. Shops and restaurants are close by. The kitchen is very well equipped and of course having a washer and dryer is a huge benefit. The owner and her husband are easy to work with and delightful. We are big fans!

Highly recomended

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The flat was an excellent base and was so comfortable. The rooms were very clean, spacious and light filled. The flat was very tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and linen. The beds were very comfortable - such a bonus! The ideal location meant that we had easy access to transport and shops. Chelsea is such an interesting area to explore . I suggest a visit to the delightful Chelsea Physic Gardens nearby. Jude was very helpful and easy to communicate with and she was able to accommodate our late arrival . I would not hesitate to recommend this flat and hope to return one day.

Great week for 2 couples in London

  • 4 of 5

This apartment was great for 2 couples, plenty of room and privacy. The location was great, not far from the tube and plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance. The kitchen had everything we needed, including some wonderful ice cream ( Jude's brand). The owner had some one meet us at the apartment to let us in and show us around. No complaints, thanks!

Enjoyable stay!

  • 4 of 5

The Apartment description was generally accurate: the property is located in a pleasant neighbourhood, situated in a clean and quiet building, and filled with an abundance of natural light. Grocery stores and restaurants are conveniently located nearby.

The availability of user guides for the appliances and the reference notebook with helpful tips / instructions was useful. We propose including information regarding what to do (and when) with recyclable materials and rubbish.

One aspect that could be improved is the wifi. The signal was strong near the hub (which was located in the "sitting room" at the front of the apartment) but became fainter toward the back of the apartment … and was nonexistent at all times in the farthest bedroom ("bedroom 2"). This pattern was observed with seven separate wifi-enabled devices. We suggest installing a repeater.

In all, the size, design, and location of the apartment worked well for our party of four, and we had a very pleasant stay.
