About this property

Why choose GracePointe Valley? Read our reviews!

Come enjoy the incredible beauty of the Smoky Mountains at GracePointe Valley! The air is fresh, the trails are beckoning, and the creeks are rolling! If the cabin's cozy atmosphere and outdoor fire pit and swing don’t get you in the mood, the lights, activities, and excitement of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge surely will!

Our 3BR/2BA log cabin, located in the heart of Wears Valley, offers just what you're looking for in a Smoky Mountain get-away. The prime location means you're only minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains park boundary as well as minutes from the fun and excitement of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. It really IS the best of both worlds! And the biggest plus of all? Backroads everywhere to help you avoid traffic and congestion!

GracePointe Valley is our family cabin, purchased Spring 2017, and replaces our former cabin (GracePointe of Gatlinburg) that was destroyed in the 2016 wildfires. This new cabin is located in an area unaffected by the 2016 wildfires and the mountains surrounding it are beautiful, green and untouched. We have completely renovated and updated this cabin and continue to make improvements. New mattresses, linens, and furniture are just the starting point. All cabinetry has been refinished (yes, that "distressed" look is intentional) and new hardwood floors have been installed. As more and more guests discover GracePointe Valley, our positive reviews increase. Come see what they're talking about! :-)

With a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom, queen beds in each of the two upstairs bedrooms, and a full bath on each floor, you'll have plenty of room for everyone in the family. There's even a set of child-sized (note: "child-sized"...meaning kids, not teenagers. Beds are 33 X70 inches as compared with standard twins which are 30 X 74 inches) bunk beds in the upstairs landing, making a fun spot for the kiddos.

The kitchen is completely stocked with new dishes, flatware, and cookware. And there's a laundry room (washer & dryer) for your convenience. Cable television and internet are also provided.

We continue to improve the exterior of the cabin and even added a firepit area, complete with firewood, stacked and ready to go. (What other cabin offers a firepit and supplies your firewood? Not many, I assure you! Don't forget to pack the marshmallows!) You can even sit in the hot tub near the firepit! And we just added a swing by the firepit, too! (Can you tell we love the firepit?) A charcoal grill and outdoor dining set means dinner on the deck is a must! Other considerations include ample parking, a wrap-around deck, rocking chairs, a porch swing, and a hot tub. In other words, pretty much everything you need to relax, refresh, and renew.

New photos are being added to our VRBO page as improvement are made. Improvements completed last summer include: renovated bathrooms, the kids bunk area, and the cabin exterior. All bedding is new in all bedrooms and bedroom furniture is new in both upstairs bedrooms. (As a side note, all mattresses are encased to protect against any type of infestation.) The large living room includes new leather sofa and love seat with new hardwood flooring throughout.

Please note: GracePointe Valley is located in a quiet, mostly residential area and is definitely NOT a "party cabin." If your vacation plans include hosting loud outdoor parties, you will want to consider another property as you will not find GracePointe Valley to be a good fit for your group. On the other hand, if you're looking for the perfect spot to relax with a good book, enjoy a quiet evening around the firepit, or sweet family/friend dinner time on the deck, then GracePointe Valley is the perfect spot!

If time around the pool is on your vacation list, we also provide access to a nearby pool and fishing pond for your enjoyment! You'll receive access info to Honeysuckle Meadows pool and pond after booking.

Beautiful Tennessee property
We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful home. It felt like it was tucked away in a very quiet spot but it was within 10 to 15 minutes of pretty much anything you would need or want. We were 30 minutes from Gatlinburg and 30 minutes from Dollywood. Great location. The facilities were very nice. Plenty of coffee available for us! Very nice living room/kitchen area and the entire home was very clean. We enjoyed the fire pit every night. One minor note: the upstairs beds were pretty small, almost too small for two adults who aren't a couple to sleep in comfortably. Not a criticism! The house was beautiful and comfortable. Just something to be aware of. We highly recommend this home! The hosts were on top of all of our questions, were very helpful, and we enjoyed our stay. We are grateful for the opportunity to stay at the property.

Cozy cabin in the woods
Very nice cabin with all of the comforts of home. We have stayed at other VRBO properties before, but this one had many of the supplies that you would need without bringing them from home, like a huge supply of TP, paper towels, bath towels, beach towels dish soap etc. The kitchen is well supplied and even had some of the spices that you would want to add to a meal. We enjoyed the hot tub almost every night and the use of the fire pit. Upon driving up, it looked like we were in a subdivision, but the house is located on a deadend in some secluded woods that made us feel like we were out by ourselves. We were close to the Smokey Mountain park and also the city attactions. Correspondence with the owner was superb when a problem did arise. We were traveling with out daughter, SIL, and 4 grandchildren who all had an enjoyable week. I would definitely recommend if you are traveling to the Gatlinburg area.

Smoky Mountain Christmas
Our family booked a getaway to the mountains to celebrate Christmas. The cabin was beautifully decorated and was so cozy with the indoor fireplace. Everything was so clean and well stocked. It was the perfect cabin!

About the host

We (Mike & Micki) love the Smoky Mountains and love sharing our place with others who love the mountains. We owned our first cabin, GracePointe of Gatlinburg, for over 25 years. However, as our children grew up, married, then started having children of their own, we knew it was time for a larger cabin. We sold GracePointe of Gatlinburg shortly before the 2016 wildfires. Unfortunately, the new owners never had the opportunity to enjoy the cabin as it was destroyed in the fire. We had another cabin under contract at the time, but it was also in the fire's path. As you can imagine, we were devastated. Thankfully, we found a sweet cabin in quiet, peaceful Wears Valley and were happy to finally settle down in a new-to-us log cabin that we named GracePointe Valley.

What makes this property unique

There are so many things that make us happy about GracePointe Valley. One example, the location...Wears Valley lies between Pigeon Forge and Townsend. Seven miles either direction from the cabin and you'll either find yourself smack-dab in the middle of shopping, attractions, & restaurants (Pigeon Forge) or you'll find yourself on "the peaceful side of the Smokies" (Townsend) and with easy access to historic and beautiful Cades Cove. The park boundary is literally seven minutes from the cabin with the Metcalf Bottoms picnic area located on the cool, clear Little River. The Little Greenbriar School trailhead starts in Metcalf Bottoms. There are backroads everywhere, which means lots of options when trying to avoid sitting in traffic.

Another thing that makes us happy is the space, both inside and out. Lots of room inside for families to gather, plus the cabin sits on an acre lot and has ample parking. We even built a firepit for those lazy evenings when you just want to relax and enjoy your time in the mountains.
