About this property

sleeps 8, large garden- Palma

Situated off the Maleme-Nea Roumata road 16 km west of Chania and less than 1 km from the centre of Maleme, this handsome old family house with 10m x 5m private swimming pool is set amongst olive groves, some 300 metres from the coast road.
The house is built on two levels and terraced out of the hillside and contains vaulted timber ceilings, complimented by wooden floors and the use of gorgeous, soft creamy marble in the shower rooms.
The main entrance door on the upper level leads into a beautifully fitted kitchen with full cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, cupboards and ample work surfaces with a creamy marble splash back. To one side there’s a dining table and beyond here an archway leads through to an attractive and comfortably furnished sitting room with a generous sweep of windows on two sides providing wonderful sea view over the olive groves and the village of Maleme, to the distant Rodopou Peninsula.
The double-bedded master bedroom is situated off the sitting room, enjoying similar sea views, it has a large fitted wardrobe as well as the unusual benefit of two shower rooms, both containing a WC and wash hand basin!
Also on this level, off the kitchen, is a further airy room with two single beds and a cupboard and its own en-suite shower room with WC and wash hand basin.

Villa Palma is built on two levels and terraced out of the hillside.
Situated at the lower level and with its own separate entrance door is a studio, complete with two sofa beds as well as a shower room and a washing machine. To the front is a small sitting area, plus a wardrobe and desk unit.
Outside, apart from the usual patio furniture, sunbeds and umbrellas, Villa Palma is a sea of green with terraced lawns sloping down to the stylish wood decking surrounding the pool with just the occasional token stepping stone and a solitary palm tree. These terraces have barriers making the gardens ideal for young children to enjoy and with plenty of space to play .The pool is on the lower level and it has a min depth of 1.2m and a max depth of 1.7m.

Wonderful stay in Maleme
We had a wonderful stay this summer at the beautiful Villa Palma in Maleme. Stephanos was so helpful, answering questions even before we arrived. The Villa is stunning, especially the views and the pool. We loved sitting out, eating family dinners on the upper terrace, and we had some fabulous days relaxing by the gorgeous pool. There was plenty of space for all of us (we are 5 people). It was clean and well kept. We enjoyed some wonderful excursions to Elafonossi beach, Seitan Limani and of course Chania. What a summer to remember! Thank you for having us.

Smukt beliggende feriebolig
Vi havde en rigtig dejlig ferie i denne bolig. Dejlig stor swimmingpool og gode faciliteter i øvrigt. Velholdt hjem og dejlig have. Masser af rum og sovepladser.

Lovely villa set in delightful private gardens.
We were a party of four, and stayed at Villa Palma during the third week of September 2017. The villa is large enough to sleep 6 comfortably, and 8 if you use the long sofas in the bottom bedroom. The crowning glory of this property is the outside, where the pool is set in its own private garden, with plenty of sun loungers and shade. The lawns are nicely maintained, and the pool is cleaned every day by the maid. The villa is very clean, and you get a change of bed linen and towels mid-way through a week's stay. The bottom bedroom is a little dark, but is also cooler than the ones upstairs, which we appreciated when the temperatures went to the high 30s. There is a lounge which we hardly used, preferring to sit outside under the pagoda, which also had a long table and plenty of chairs. From there, you got a lovely view of the north of the island. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge, but bring your own DVDs if you want to watch. Also, the TV channels are only in German, but that didn't bother us as we preferred to live outside, as it was warm enough right up to bed time. We very much enjoyed our week's stay there.

Paradise
This villa is exactly as described and more. It is located privately amongst olive trees out of sight of the road but with superb views over the mountains and sea and still it is within easy walking distance of the village and shops and tavernas, also the bus stop to Chania and Kissamos. The owner is welcoming and gracious and has taken great care to furnish and equip this house to the highest standards. The garden and pool area is delightful; the pool is cleaned daily and the villa was also cleaned and linen changed half way through our stay of 8 nights. Highly recommended.

Family bliss
Just arrived home from a truly magical time at villa Palma. Our every need was carefully attended to by the fabulous stefanos. What a great guy with a fantastic talent for creating a beautiful and unique villa. We are a party of 6 adults and 3 children (one of which is 9 months old). Stefanos made sure we had everything we needed to get the best out of our holiday and was always around to help if we needed but at the same time awfully discreet and unobtrusive when coming to maintain the grounds each morning. We loved the pool and had so many great days relaxing at the villa. The villa is a in a lovely secluded patch with stunning views and great facilities nearby. We will be back for sure!!thank you stefanos

I was born in the village (Maleme) I studied economics in Greece and management in the UK (Aston University MBA)I worked for a ferry shipping company for more than 20 years and few years ago I came back to my place of birth where I produce organic olive oil and manage two properties. I put a lot of work in the renovation of the house and I enjoy welcoming quests and manual work on the farm.

Why they chose this property
