Disappointed, not worth the money ☹️
Very disappointed, nothing like what the pictures looked like online, on July 24, 202, I called & booked for Aug 16-17th one night, a 2 bdrm, 2 bath for 3 adults, my 76 yr old aunt from Calif, my sister from N.C, & myself. We were definitely looking forward to our stay, showing my aunt around Park City & relaxing by the pool & spa. We checked in, first thing we saw as we came to the parking areas were painters all around, we got checked in, & parked on the street in back of the building, we couldn’t find the entrance to the parking garage, we also found out there was only 1 elevator from the parking garage to the main lobby & Main Street only!, our room was 2 flights up & the elevator doesn’t go up stairs, my aunt could barely make up, we got to our room (#45) as soon as we opened the door we got a big whiff of a very heavy does of straight bleach & my sister & I are very allergic to cigarette smoke & we could smell a faint order of that, hence the concentrated bleach smell, the rooms & baths looked cleaned but are badly in need of updating, my sister went to look at the pool & spa area, she went out the door to the courtyard, & she saw that the area needed badly needed yard work done, grass was high, & the pool & spa was covered with a blue cover with pipes sticking out!! We immediately took our luggage & left the room, going down the 2 flights of stairs & I spoke to Ivan, told him why, he was very kind, the first thing he said to me was that there has been a plumbing issue with the pool & they had been working on it, & they had painters scheduled for painting the outside for a while, of both that I was not informed of when I booked our room, Derek was the person I booked with & never mentioned this to me of the pool/spa & painters, & did not say anything to us when we arrived earlier, all he said that it was going to be about an hour & a half before the room would be ready, so we went & got lunch, not a word, only reason I know this is when I was checking out & wanted my card credited, Ivan asked if the morning clerk told us about the plumbing issues with the pool, I said “no” he didn’t or I wouldn’t of booked. I. only received what the hotel credited back to my card, Ivan said that VRBO has to reimburse me for the rest. The hotel in its old days looks like it was a beautiful place with old world charm & elegance, but it really needs a more modern day update with that old world charm mixed with it, & elevators for the all levels!
