The cottage is an end-of-terrace house which was built in 1819.
It is Grade II listed and stands in a conservation area in Weymouth Old Harbour. It is 25 yards from the water's edge (side on, not facing) and a stone's throw from Brewers' Quay.
There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and fish and chip shops nearby, and the nearest supermarket, a 24-hour Asda is only a short walk away.
The Georgian town centre and the long, sandy beach are some five or six minutes' walk away, across the town bridge.
The harbour is lively and picturesque, and is a starting point for fishing trips and pleasure excursions.
Closer to home is Portland, reached either by boat, car or bus. Other favourites with our visitors are Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Abbotsbury with its Swannery and Tropical Gardens, Chesil Beach, Lyme Regis and Dorchester.
