We loved being right on the beach and really enjoyed the pool/hot tub and being nextdoor to Breezez restaurant. The windy staircase was a bit difficult to navigate to the upstairs bedroom, but the other bedroom/bath was fine. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and tools.
Unit #306 was just perfect for us. My husband and I stayed for five weeks with my son and daughter in law joining us the last week of our stay. The view is just beautiful with the beach, palm and coconut trees swaying in the breeze, and the manicured grounds and pool. It was great to arrive at our unit to find beer in the fridge, some essentials like coffee, sugar, tea, spices etc. in the kitchen cupboards. Cleaning supplies were also under the sink and in the bathrooms. Both beds were comfortable and extra towels and linens were in the closets. Internet worked great except for one morning and then it was repaired within an hour of notifying Earl (our realtor). This unit was decorated nicely with many beachy wall pieces and wicker furniture. There were snorkeling equipment, beach chairs etc. in the closet.
The beach, hot tub and the pool were usually almost empty with us being the only ones there. It is a pebbly beach with water shoes a good idea. It is raked daily and there is always someone working trimming plants, etc. The town is about a mile away with many good restaurants and a nice boardwalk. The Italian restaurant nearby, Un Amore was delicious and so convenient. Breezes next door was okay.We would definitely rent this unit again if it’s available at a similar price to what we paid this year.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here. The view was incredible. We could watch pelicans, terns, sail boats and the seaplane right from our deck. Beach toys and refrigerator condiments were greatly appreciated. St Croix is a safe destination with many delicious restaurants all over the island and such gracious residents who make you feel so welcome. Definitely need a car to experience all of it. We needed more time to discover so we are returning next year. Fun snorkeling just in front of Colony Cove around tire reef.
thanks for staying with us and for the nice review.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband and I hope you will not make this your last trip to St Croix....
Thanks again and hope to see you next year!
From the view of the ocean to the house itself, we had an amazing time. The house had beach towels and linens provided which was great because we had forgotten to pack those. Snorkeling gear and a couple of kids sand toys were also available. The house was beautiful, cozy, and neat. The beach was beautiful and well maintained. There was a lot of seaweed which I know is normal so it wasn’t a problem at all we still went swimming. There is a bar and restaurant located conveniently next to the pool. It has kid friendly menu options which was nice because we were traveling with our four year old. There is a McDonald’s, subway, and grocery store all within walking distance. A must stop is Buck Island, and on Sunday’s everyone goes to Rainbow beach in Fredricksted, which is a beautiful stop to make as well. The board walk in Christiansted has a huge collection of shops and restaurants. Our server at the restaurant next to the condo gave us a taxi drivers number and he drove us almost there everyday, there isn’t any Uber’s on the island so we recommend getting a taxis number. Overall we had a great time and the house was perfect!

Great Location with Very Nice Accomodations
This condo is about 5mins from downtown Christenstead and less than a half hour from Fredricksted by rental car. It’s a nice central location. The beach, pool and restaurant in the back yard are all top notch. Good snorkeling out back too. We saw a ton or urchins, conch and even two sting rays (we were out quite a ways). The one relatively minor glitch was the TV being blown out do to power fluctuations. Power went out three times in the week we were there for about 10mins each time. No biggie, but tough on TV’s! A lot of our neighbors were line-men working on fixing the power around the island from last years hurricanes. The loft upstairs has a vaulted ceiling, a view to the beach (if you slide the privacy screen to the side), a big queen bed and private bathroom with a shower/tub. It also has AC. The downstairs bedroom is a bit smaller with another queen bed and AC. The main living room has no AC but has a a double size screen door and there’s typically a nice breeze off the ocean. The back balcony has a great view, an upholstered lounge and a tall table with a couple chairs. The beach is pretty well maintained, with a guy coming to clean up seaweed about half the days we were there. He didn’t seem to come in weekends.
There are many good SCUBA outfits, all with similar prices. Since we were there in low season many seemed to be running operations out of their Fredricksted shops. The Salt River area is a fascinating area with its ancient (WAY back in the day) underwater “waterfall” feature. They do “Lion Hunts” looking for the invasive Lion fish to kill. It brings the reef sharks out!! We also did a night dive at the Fredricksted Pier, which makes for a great first night dive with the light from the pier filtering through the water a bit. Once you get away from that light the bio-luminescent critters in the water “spark” of of you and your companions at every movement. It’s very cool!!
There are many good restaurants. In Christiansted we liked Brew STX, on the boardwalk and Toast Diner just off the boardwalk we’re favorites. We thought Savant was a bit over-priced but a beautiful setting in the back courtyard. If you head out east to Point Udall your best bet is Ziggys Island Market. Best deal on the island and REALKY good casual food. In Fredricksted it’s Tap Deck and Louie & Nachos (great for a sunset). The Beer Drinking Pigs were different (near Fredricksted). Centerline car rentals worked well for us and we didn’t feel we needed a Jeep.
thank you so much for staying with us at Suite Dreams.
