On the island of Ré, in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in France, La Flotte en Ré, renting a charming house of 120m² for 8 persons situated close to the medieval market and port and two cables from the beach. The house has two entrances, one through lane Sisters giving direct access to the court to deposit for bicycles. The courtyard of 40 m² and includes an old covered well, a bicycle shed, a barbecue area and a terrace with garden furniture, a local garbage and wood.

Ground floor: A living room with a relaxation area with sofa, armchairs, Home cinema TV and DVD player, sound base IPhone, office. A dining room with table and 8 chairs, console and mirror. A fully equipped kitchen (electric hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing and drying machines) with direct access to the street and including all necessary equipment (dishes, blender, coffee and Nespresso classic, cooked -vapeur, juicer, toaster, etc). Separate toilet.

1st floor: Parents Room with 160 bed, wardrobe and cupboard. Friends Room with 140 bed and dresser. Bathroom with sink and bathtub. Bathroom with shower and toilet.

2nd floor: Bedroom space 'Girls' 90 with two beds and a dresser. Bedroom area 'boys' with two beds 90, 2 bedside tables and closet. Bathroom with sink and shower. Folding cot available on request.

The Poirier Sisters is located 100 m from the medieval market, 150 meters from the port and 250 meters from the beach of Arnerault and the sailing but also the thalassotherapy center 'Richelieu'.

All amenities are within walking distance in less than 5 minutes.

About Chrystèle and Renaud Deval

We are a family living in La Rochelle in Charente-Maritime on the Atlantic coast. Before the bridge of Ré was built in 1988, the pace of the ferries between the harbour of La Rochelle-Pallice and Sablanceau, south tip of the island of Ré, has punctuated the long weekends of our childhood. If Ré lost a little of that magic with the bridge, this is returning there, long after in 2011 that we rediscovered the preserved wildness of this beautiful island. A desire, almost a need to settle in 'our' island became an evidence, something we achieved just a year after when discovering our house. The village of La Flotte en Ré was obvious, combining typicity of the site and friendliness of the people. Le Poirier des Soeurs, our house, was acquired in August 2012 for its proximity to the historical city center (all shops within 5 minutes walk), its typical charming fisherman style from the Ré island, its peacefulness (close but away enough from the 'hubbub' of the shopping area), its large size and its 'large patio' (according to Ré standards!) with dual access (handy for bikes). Bikes! The Island of Ré is bicycle's kingdom! Come here by car, park it and forget about it for the rest of your stay. Relaxation guaranteed!

6 day stay booked at short notice

Lovely spacious house, very much a family home, with additional cool shady outdoor eating area with charcoal BBQ. Great location a few minutes from the market in La Flotte and all essential amenities - bike hire, supermarket, restaurants. Fun selection of board games in family room but note all DVDs in French! The housekeeper and owners were incredibly helpful sorting out taxi transfers and attending to any other queries. Note the housekeeper only speaks French. Owners fluent English speakers/ by email. Only downside was everyone had to use the ensuite bathroom shower as top floor shower was hand held only - the fixing to the riser appeared to be missing. It would be easy to sort out or maybe its usual for France and as it was in the children's bathroom it would be fine for small children to be hosed down but older ones need/expect a proper shower to stand under. Also only one toilet on first floor in same bathroom. This was ok for us as a family and only 4 of us but if the house was fully occupied with a mixed group it could be less than ideal. The house is also next to the church with the bells ringing on the hour and half hour throughout the day and night so bring ear plugs ! We love La Flotte and to find this house available at short notice was a real result. It's nice to find a place that's comfortable and you are happy to spend time in on holiday. No pressure to be out all the time.

Wonderful family house in La Flotte.

We couldn't wait to return to this wonderful property in La Flotte. As last year, all communications were promptly replied to and in excellent English. The lay out of the house meant that although we had guests to stay with us at various times in the weeks we stayed, we never felt that we were crowded. The double height central dining room meant that the house was filled with light and very spacious. The internet worked well as did all the other facilities. The property was extremely clean and well maintained. Sylvie welcomed us warmly and we felt at home straight away. The house was so welcoming that we often ate at home either at the large table in the dining room, or outside in the sunny courtyard. The 12th century market (5 minutes walk) is full of food stalls, many offering ready made food to take away - including an Indian food stall - and we often visited the roast chicken stall. There are many restaurants in the port for every budget. Many offer a take away service - the Italian restaurant serves pizza etc to go. The Sushi restaurant does wonderful take out platters.

I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Perefect!

We have just come back from a fantastic week at Chystele and Renaud's property in La Flotte, we couldn't have asked for a better property or in a better location. We had a few issues with travel due to a cancelled flight and Chrystele and Renaud were always on the end of the phone and such a great help in re-arranging our taxi etc. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Chrystele and Renaud.........perfect hosts and very helpful and prompt in replying. Sylvie the housekeeper who met us on arrival was also very lovely and helpful - especially with our limited French language!

The property was fantastic, we have 2 young children (4 and 2yrs) who absolutely loved their top floor boys and girls rooms. There were even a few toys and books left for them to play with. There was plenty of space in all rooms and the galleried landing made a lovely feature to really make the house feel open, light and spacious. The galleried landing may be a worry for younger toddlers and babies, but it wasn't a problem for us.

The property had everything we could have needed - 2 bikes (one with child seat), buckets and spades, beach mats, deck chairs, bbq, etc. The courtyard garden was a lovely outdoor area to relax in the last bit of afternoon sun after a day on the bikes.

The location couldn't be any more central. It was a short (2min) walk to the morning market, 3 min walk to the supermarket and a 5 min walk to the harbour where you could find a selection of restaurants to eat at every night.

We had such a lovely week exploring the island on our bikes and visiting the lovely sandy beaches of La Bois Plage. We would definitely come again and we can't thank Chrystele and Renaud enough for making our stay hassle free.

Truly perfect

We have been coming to Ile de re for the last 4 years and I can honestly say this house was perfect in every way. We loved the simplicity of it, the thought that had gone in to making sure everything was in the house, even the provision of bikes. The beds were wonderfully comfy, normally we've had an amazing holiday but are looking forward to our own beds, not this time! It was beautifully clean, light and airy. Chrystèle and Renaud the owners and Sylvie the housekeeper were so kind and helpful from the minute we booked to the minute we departed. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful house, fantastic location

My husband, my son (7) and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday in La Flotte. This house was perfect for us. Very short walk to the port, passing the boulangerie, cheese shop, Carrefour, crepe shop and amazing 12 century market en route amongst other shops.

The house is very clean. The beds are super comfortable and the house is equipped with everything that you need to live as though you were at home. The dining room is extremely bright due to the various sets of French doors over looking the sunny courtyard, as is the sitting room. The courtyard has an exit to the side alley which is really helpful when bringing the bicycles in.

The owners (who we met) were extremely helpful, giving us many suggestions for activities for our little boy in and around the port. E mails were answered very quickly and communications were very easy as the owners speak excellent English.

I would not hesitate to recommend this house to small or large families as it is very spacious and light filled thanks to the central atrium/dining room which is open to the roof.

We have already booked for 2016.

Perfect for us

The house is excellent - charming, comfortable, very clean and very well

equipped, and in such a good location.

We enjoyed La Flotte and its beautiful market and harbour very much. We

have also had great fun exploring the island, using the buses and bikes.

A perfect holiday for us.
