About this property

The South Shore Resort was built in 1909, we tried to preserve the past so each cabin is decorated with the olden days in mind along with the necessities of today. There are 4 cabins, the main Lodge, and 100' of private sandy beach here on our 3 acres of picket fenced in land.
This property is truly the perfect place for a large family or groups that are looking to spend time together.

Wren cabin sleeps 4-6, 2 bedrooms with a queen in each and a sofa sleeper in the living room. Full bath and kitchen.

Rental includes the use of our canoes, row boats, kayak's, fire pits, shuffle board, bikes, recreational garage, gas grills, TV channels, VCR/video library, towels, children's playground, bikes, volleyball, basketball and much more.

This area features countless opportunities such as golf courses, amusement/water parks, theaters, nature trails, festivals, shopping, horseback riding, antique malls, museums, bike trails, arts and craft shows, dining, breweries, sand dunes and of course the incredible sunsets over Lake Michigan!

The South Shore Resort is ideally located just east of Muskegon and is the perfect destination for families in search of both recreation and relaxation!

Love it for annual trip!

We love Twin Lake. We come annually for an extended family trip. The lodge is very comfortable for a large group, and being right on the water is perfect. They have canoes, life jackets, bikes, etc. everything you could want. Jeff is an excellent host. Highly recommend and we all look forward to next year’s stay.

Beautiful!

We had a very pleasant experience. The cabins are adorable, clean, and the beach is amazing. The water is great for swimming, no seaweed and a fun swim dock. There are plenty of boats and kayaks to play with and the game room provides entertainment for a rainy day.

The management was very nice and fair.

My overall impression of the resort was friendly and family oriented. There was things to do if you wanted. Nice lake. No one bothers you. It was very peaceful.

What a hidden jewel!

We were fortunate to have the entire place to ourselves because of the pandemic, but we were the first guests of the season. Great cottage. The lodge is built for 15-18. Two firepits, beach with kayaks and canoe - life jackets from kids to fat grandpas. 8 mins from a grocery store and the highway. But a million miles away.
