Not as advertised
When we arrived this rental had not been cleaned at all! We spent our first night driving to the store to get cleaning supplies and cleaning the house, toilets and all. The owners did try to make this right with us and assured us this has never happened before. Two of the bedrooms are in the basement and there is a strong musty smell. We did not use these rooms and kept the doors shut. The listing states that there is air conditioning, but there is not! There is no central air, no window units or portable air conditioning units. They have 3 units the size of a toaster that you have to freeze a filter thing every day and then put them in the bedrooms. They run like a fan and are supposed to cool the room for about 8 hours. This does nothing for the house and is not the definition of air conditioning. Unfortunately, this was not the vacation we were hoping for.

Great Location and Host
We enjoyed our stay at Jud's house. The kitchen was well equipped. Jud responded quickly to all of our questions and sent a package of travel material prior to our stay. The house is in a great location for Acadia, Bangor, New Brunswick and the Bay of Fundy. The house is located in a quiet, rural area but still very close to great supermarkets and downtown Bangor.

Why they chose this property

I developed the original 40 acres and built this place on the top to have the privacy and view- liked to watch the airplane s go by. I designed it to be very tight with a lot of glass to always have the feeling of being outdoors As there is not a market for this type of home in this area I decided to rent.

What makes this property unique

Wide open feeling with wonderful views and sunsets. Absolute privacy.
