About Amy Sage
My name is Amy Sage. I established the first vacation rental home in the Bitterroot Valley with the SweetSage Guest House in 1999. As a stay-at-home mother of three children, I gradually expanded my vacation rental business to manage other nearby properties while still allowing myself to be home for my family. I am dedicated to providing my guests with the best the Bitterroot has to offer with clean, quiet, private surroundings and all the comforts of home. I am pleased to bring the Riverside Cottage to my vacation rental offerings.
Why Amy Sage chose Conner
We love the recreational opportunities the Bitterroot Valley has to offer. This quaint little cottage is right on the banks of the Bitterroot River and is close to Lost Trail Ski area, Painted Rocks Res. and Como Lake.
What makes this Cottage unique
We fish and float the river right in front of the cottage. Cook out on the grill. Sleep under the stars (yes, there is a skylight over the bed!), and its so refreshing.

Great vacation spot
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage it wasperfect
If you're a fly fisherman, you will love catching native and wild trout out of your back door!!!!!
We had a great stay on the river. The cottage was roomy and the kitchen well equipped. Any problem we had was taken care of immediately. Thank you so much for the great place to stay.
Beautiful, peaceful getaway.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. The location is Georgeous. We could have just sat by the river for 5 days but we also got out to enjoy the hiking and fishing. We will be back!
Perfect weekend getaway
Since we live not far away in Missoula, we were looking for a close, but quiet and riverfront, getaway for my husband's birthday. This place was perfect!!! It looked great and still was better than we expected. Being right on the water was an absolute treat. We didn't leave other than to fish the West Fork of the Bitterroot several times and visit Painter Rock park. The weather was beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a birthday card and cupcakes upon arrival. So thoughtful! Super clean. Fully furnished and outfitted kitchen. The grill was great. We cooked all of our meals. Loved the lounge chairs, the picnic table and to warm up the gas stove inside. The place gets tons of light and was very well appointed. We caught Rainbow Trout in front of the cabin - and Browns, Bulls and Cutthroat over on the West Fork. We heard the Elk in the evening. Lots of deer. Our Black Lab, Callie, thought we were in heaven. We highly recommend this place - whether or not you are trying to get away from it all. Darby is close by for anything you might need. If you don't need anything then you have a serene place all to yourself. Never heard and barely saw the neighbors. We'd probably rent it every weekend if it was available.
Great little cottage.
Very comfortable cottage and the location was perfect for me. Will be staying there again.
The Bitterroot River is nationally famous for its tremendous fishing. Wilderness areas and national forest lands surround the neighborhood. The area is home to majestic peaks, crystal clear streams and abundant wildlife. From rugged to well groomed, hiking, biking, and riding possibilities abound. About 20 miles to the south is Lost Trail Ski area, which is open Thurs-Sun during the ski season. Lost Trail offers lifts and a pleasant skiing opportunity without the crowds. Chief Joseph pass has an extensive network of groomed cross-country trails and is right next to Lost Trail. You can also have a swim in the warm pool at Lost Trail Hot Springs, which is right on the way. But with the river just a stone's throw away from your back door, you may be tempted to spend all of your time right there. We think you'll agree that our river cottage is an accommodation that is the destination. So give us a call, pack your bags and come enjoy all that western Montana has to offer.
