A Two Bedroom, Two Bathroom Luxrious Apartment In The Heart Of Edinburgh.

Castle Terrace in the historic West End. It is south facing with high ceilings,huge sash windows and working shutters. The stunning lounge has comfortable seating for six, TV and wifi

The master bedroom has a luxurious super king size bed and an ensuite with shower. There is a second large double bedroom, a family bathroom with shower over the bath. There is a double sofa bed is in the dining room which affords a third couple a separate room.

There is a brand new kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine.

The apartment is on the first floor. There is no lift.

In common with other capital cities parking is expensive and difficult.

Great Location!!!

Grassmarket pubs and restaurants are just a couple of blocks away. The castle is a short walk up the hill and the park is just across the street. Place was as pictured and advertised. Highly recommend to others.

Great location

The flat was the most comfortable self catering accommodation I have rented during festival time. It was in a great location within easy reach of north and south sides of the city. Being round the corner from the Traverse Theatre is a big bonus.

Wonderful flat in a central, but quiet location

My husband, sister and I stayed at Castle Terrace for 3 weeks during the 2017 Edinburgh Theater, Fringe and Literary Festivals. Castle Terrace is centrally located for Festival activities - but on a quiet street. The apt is very large, offering lots of privacy for three of us in two large bedrooms (also would be good for 2 couples). The master bedroom has a full ensuite bath and the second bedroom has it's own full bath in the hall. All rooms - living, dining, kitchen, baths, and bedrooms, are well furnished and equipped. For example, we ate most meals at home in an extremely well-stocked kitchen. The apt also is quite bright, with lots of windows looking into the garden on one side of the apt and onto the street on the other side. Val is responsive and helpful and immediately addressed our questions and issues. We look forward to future visits and cannot think of a better place to stay in Edinburgh.

Amazing flat in the heart of Edinburgh!

As the description implies, the location is simply perfect - we could walk most anywhere in the city with ease! There's a charming farmers market around the corner on Saturdays. Due to the many large windows in the flat, there's plenty of natural light on both sunny and partly cloudy days. The kitchen is one of the most well equipped we've ever had - we had b'fast in every day and loved using the spacious dining room before heading out to explore the lovely city of Edinburgh!

Things to note that are important to us and not always found in rental homes we've stayed in previously. There were plenty of clothes hangers and two hair dryers in the unit. There is ample storage in both bathrooms, the kitchen, and each bedroom. There are even "hidden" drawers in the master bedroom bed frame! There was always plenty of hot water in both bathrooms.

The flat is very well stocked with many little things that made our stay most enjoyable. From travel brochures to a very nice radio in the dining room, to some kitchen staples like foil and plastic wrap - much attention was paid to the little things. The fridge kept everything nice and cold (again, not always the case in rentals) and the stove top, oven, tea kettle, microwave and toaster all worked perfectly!

We really appreciated being able to come back to our home away from home in the heart of the busy city to such a lovely place! The family room is perfect for relaxing and even taking in some "local" tv like "interesting" reality shows. The master bedroom, kitchen and dining rooms all have views of a lush garden and the front rooms over look the street. Closing the charming window shutters offers noise control in the evening.

While visiting the castle (do not miss that attraction!), we could pick out the flat below. It's a quick walk to the castle steps (bring comfy walking shoes) and a two minute walk to Sainburys for grocery staples - look for eggs on the shelf instead of the cooler if you're from the U.S. If you're gluten-free, don't miss the amazing pizza at Mamma's in the Grassmarket district!

The host, Val, was very helpful before and after the booking process - highly recommend this great rental!

This attractive property is located in the historic Old Town district at the foot of Edinburgh Castle. Steeped in some of Edinburgh’s greatest history. Greater Grassmarket is only minutes walk away from the apartment and to the popular Royal Mile. The apartment is conveniently located for Lothian Road which has a wide and varied range of amenities including shops, restaurants, bars and bistros. Stroll along the old George IV Bridge, where you’ll meet the famous Greyfriars Bobby, before walking through some of Edinburgh’s oldest and most photographed streets including Candlemaker Row, Victoria Street, West Port and our famous view of the great Edinburgh Castle. A vibrant and popular meeting place for visitors and locals alike, you can soak up the medieval atmosphere and enjoy its splendid views of the nearby castle. The area is well served by buses, the new City tram service and an express bus runs from Waverley Station to Edinburgh International Airport. The railways stations of Waverley and Haymarket

This incredibly beautiful city is easy to explore on foot. Princes Street, The Royal Mile and the lively Grassmarket are a few minutes walk away. For outlying attractions (The Royal Yacht Britannia, The Botanic Gardens, Dynamic Earth etc) the hop on hop off tourist bus stops a few metres away. Every Saturday there is a farmers' in Castle Terrace. This will satisfy anyone wishing to taste Scottish fare with porridge, croissants, bacon and Angus beef burgers and cheese to sample. If more serious self catering is on the agenda you will find Scottish cheeses, venison, fresh fish and seafood, smoked salmon and haddock, Aberdeen Angus Beef, lamb and mutton.

The nearby restaurants and bars are too numerous to mention and will suit every taste and pocket.. The Castle Terrace Michelin starred restaurant is just next door, the Usher Hall and theatres just behind the apartment. Despite their close vicinity you will get a good night's sleep as the location of the apartment is not on a main thoroughfare for traffic or revellers.
