About this property

Clean, comfortable, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin ON Norfork Lake with a lake viee! Featuring a queen bed in 1 room and a full and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom, separate living room & kitchen, and sizeable screened in porch. Excellent view of Lake Norfork and gorgeous scenery of the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. Enjoy lush, natural, wooded landscape, privacy, and relaxation, as well as fun for the whole family. We have a swimming/fishing dock that guests may walk (steep) or drive down to (we recommend a truck or suv); a commercial playset, fire pit, hammocks to relax on, horseshoes, basketball, bag-o and other outdoor games. This particular cabin has a screened in porch, outdoor picnic table, and grill and is a separate cottage. Our property is conveniently located about 10 miles outside Mountain Home, AR, next door to Bidwell Point Park campground & swim beach, 1/4 mile to 101 Marina for boat/slip rentals, 2 miles to Panther Bay Launch/Park/Swim Beach, nearby David’s Trail for hiking, 1/4 mile to 101 Grocery amd Bait, 3 miles to Freds Fish House. This cabin in particular is a guest favorite!,

Beautiful cabin with 5 Star-View

Our stay at Wagon Wheel Resort was amazing! Our cabin was perfect for us and the view of Lake Norfork was spectacular. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was spotless. Jenni and Jared are awesome hosts as well. Will recommend this resort to friends for sure!

Friendly hosts clean cabin

Very clean cabin with friendly hosts. The screened in porch was nice to enjoy views of the lake. Beautiful sunrise while i was there as well.

Great stay

My family really enjoyed our stay at the wagon wheel resort. It had everything you could want or need. They also had plenty of toys for kids to choose from.

Weekend Getaway

Enjoyed our stay at Wagon Wheel resort. They were very helpful and responded quickly to our requests. This place is close to 101 Marina (highly recommend renting a boat from them if needed), 101 Grocery (highly recommend their banana nut bread!), and they have a dock on the bottom of the property. If you are fit, walk down there, if not, drive down there… it is very steep and the walk back up was tough! We will definitely be back next month, thank you!

Jared and Jenni moved from the Chicago area to put Jared's background in maintenance/construction to use and be self-employed, not long after getting married. We have since welcomed to children and have really involved ourselves in the community. Jared is a volunteer on the local fire department and is the owner of Twin Lakes Home Inspections and UC Construction. Jenni is involved with the Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce and Lake Norfork Fireworks Association. With both of us being self-employed, raising 2 young children, volunteering within the community, and of course running the resort, we stay quite busy, but wouldn't have it any other way!

Why they chose this property

Jared vacationed on Lake Norfork as a kid and it was his parent's dream when they were about his age to own a resort around here. After a few months of looking, we found the Mountain Home, AR community, and primarily the resort community in Gamaliel to be the right fit for Jenni to be interested in moving and resort ownership. Walking out of cabin 1, the breathtaking lake view, lush landscaping, and accessible wildlife was enough to convince Jenni this was worth moving South for. It has been well worth it!

What makes this property unique

This resort in particular has a lengthy history - a photo hangs in the office of the main building from 1955, when there were merely ferries to take travelers across the lake in to Mountain HOme, AR. Now, there are (2) bridges, which has changed the vacation experience, but not integrity of our quaint resort. The cabins have been renovated, but there is a lot of nostalgia on property still. Our place is conveniently located but offers a lot of privacy, peace, and serenity, with enough to do to keep the kids entertained and plenty of space for outdoor play.
