A Meditative Dream House
I'm almost hesitant to share a review of this home because it feels like such a sacred, special place. While the photos are beautiful, they don't do this home justice. Each space in the house and on the grounds is thoughtfully curated. Whether you're religious or not, the property feels like you're on a retreat with meandering gravel paths, statues, native plants and art. We spent time sitting in the tea house and the chapel, listening to the burble of the fountain, the crackle of the fire, and wind in the trees. The church bells across the street chime every hour through the day.
The inside of the home is filled with quiet luxuries too, from the comfortable beds to the reclining living room chairs. We walked quite a bit into town, exploring the little shops and ducking into Mentone Market for food and gifts and Fantastic Food truck for delicious wraps and burgers. DeSoto Falls is a short drive away, as is Brow Park, both of which we enjoyed each day during our stay. We absolutely plan to return to this beautiful, relaxing property. The hosts, as well, were exceptionally communicative and helpful.
