Highly recommend!!

  • 5 of 5

Surprisingly spacious apartment, comfortable in every way. I would stay here again.

Listing description is accurate, and photos show the apartment well. It's on the ground floor, with two large rooms - a bedroom, and a living room with a sofa-bed and a chair bed. Beautiful high ceilings!! The kitchen is very small, not really suitable for cooking large meals, but for coffee, breakfast, and snacks it is perfect.

The property is very clean, and the agent is extremely helpful: she met us on arrival, helped orient us to a local restaurant and explained how to use the tram system, and also offered to arrange our cab ride back to the airport at the end of our stay (which she did). She was also available via email/text for questions that arose.

The apartment is very near to Petrin Hill; it's about a 20 minute walk to Old Town, about 10 minutes to the National Theater. The 22 tram that will take you up the hill to the castle and cathedral goes right near the apartment as well. Nearby are several good restaurants, including the Cafe Savoy, which is a famous bakery/breakfast locale (they also serve other meals). We found that eating near the apartment was generally much cheaper than in the more touristy areas. There are also several small convenience stores about a block away for milk, coffee, fruit, etc, and a Tesco not far if you want a more ambitious shopping.

The street is quiet, but very safe. We loved Prague and I would definitely stay in this apartment again if I returned; the rent was very reasonable compared to a hotel, and it was nice to have a bit more space for our family.

Amplio, cómodo y muy bien ubicado

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, spacious, well-equipped

  • 4 of 5

Photographs of the website are an accurate representation of the property. We found everything very clean and well organized on our arrival, and the owner's agent was present to show us how everything worked. The apartment is simply but more than adequately equipped - the kitchen is tiny, but was fine for our needs - two meals a day most days. A big plus is the very efficient washer-dryer - the best we have ever used in Europe. The bed is king-size - another advantage. Heating was more than adequate - this would be a significant advantage for winter stays in Prague. We liked the neighbourhood - with trams very close we were able to move quickly and easily around the city; there were several grocery stores close by; a good and inexpensive restaurant just steps away; proximity to everything we wanted to see, without the tourist hordes that are inescapable on the Charles Bridge and Old Town square. We especially recommend the Meduzzy restaurant on the same street. The ground-floor location of the apartment was another plus, since one of us has considerable difficulty with stairs. We visited the Jewish quarter, the Old Town, the castle area, and Kampa, and with more time would have visited much more. We walked a lot, just exploring, and this was probably the activity we most enjoyed, because we could find quieter streets and cafes and avoid the crowds. The owner was very understanding when an unanticipated departure delay meant we arrived two days later than planned - she was extremely prompt in responding to emails and very thorough in her provision of advance information. All in all, we enjoyed the feeling of having a home base larger and more comfortable than a hotel room, and we would not hesitate to recomment this property to a friend. Prague is a wonderful destination!

  • 5 of 5
