Designed personally by the owners Eleanor & Mike to a very high specification, great care and attention has been paid to every little detail in this beautiful home from home - so all you need to do is arrive, relax and unwind!

OUTDOORS - chill out on the two sun-drenched south and west facing terraces, and enjoy marvellous views west to the mountains, or gazing south to the sea you can spend your day watching the boats and jet-skis go by. The private heated pool, plenty of sun loungers, plus a covered Naya and electric awning give options for swimming, sunbathing or shade when the sun gets a little too hot. Dining Al Fresco is a pleasure with stylish outdoor furnishings, a top of the range Weber Gas BBQ - and amazing views! NEW for 2018 - enhanced swimming pool terrace, making relaxing on your sun lounger and taking in those fabulous views even more enjoyable!

INDOORS - the open-plan sunny living and dining area oozes quality with contemporary super-comfy furnishings and top of the range entertainment options - 3D HD TV, Sky satellite and BT Sports, home theatre system, iPod dock, and broadband WiFi is available throughout the villa. The three bedrooms have top quality Slumberland beds with extra cosy mattress toppers and Egyptian cotton linens for a super-comfortable sleep. In fact the villa is equipped with everything you may need for a relaxing stay in your home away from home - from a Nespresso machine to a NutriBullet juicer, from beach chairs and towels to a fully equipped utility room - no detail is left to chance!

About Mike and Eleanor

Casa Windlenook is the culmination of years of personal design and detailed planning by the owners - Mike and Eleanor. We became so fed up with the standards offered by so-called 'luxury' villas on previous villa holidays, on one occasion even sleeping on the sofa for 2 weeks as it was more comfortable than the beds on offer in a four bedroom villa! When we go on holiday, as with most people, our time is precious and a villa which does not live up to expectations can be a real disappointment.

Our professional lives in Hotel Management Consulting for 5 star hotels and Sales Leadership, have given us travel and hotel experiences all around the world, which have helped us create what we believe is one of the highest quality villa experiences you could wish for. Immaculate presentation, thoughtful touches to make your stay the best that it can be, and 'location, location, location' - it really is hard to beat!

Pool war sehr warm und somit war auch Abends noch schwimmen möglich. Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Bei Ankunft etliche Lebensmittel schon im Kühlschrank bereit sowie ein kleines Geschenk. Bademäntel sind auch vorhanden. Wir können dieses Haus bestens weiter empfehlen. Ferienzeit war ende September - Mitte Oktober 2017

What a fantastic villa! We loved the views, the facilities, the cleanliness and, of course, the sunshine! The owners were excellent throughout the booking process too!! Highly recommended without reservation (and we are fussy!!).

Fantastic Property with Brilliant Sea Views

Myself and my partner were looking to book a holiday together at the last minute and by sheer good fortune we were able to get timely communication with Mike and Eleanor to arrange so quickly.

The villa was exceptional and was situated in a quiet, clean, peaceful residential area, with the added bonus of having a picturesque view out to sea affording sunshine throughout the day with lovely sunsets in the evening. Crucially for myself the terrace also has a shaded area with dining table outside which meant my partner and I could still be together comfortably without one of us being on a different level. The terrace also overlooks the pool area so I'm sure it would be the perfect vantage point from which parents could keep an eye on any children and there is an electric awning which is easy to use for shade when down at the pool.

The interior of the villa has been finished to an exceptionally high standard. It is very light and very clean.The kitchen, living room, and internal dining area are open plan and provide a very spacious area for families to relax in, with sliding doors out onto the terrace. There is also a 3D HDTV attached to the wall with DVD player which does have Sky UK and therefore football available.

The owners have done a fantastic job of making your stay as easy and enjoyable as possible and the local property manager, Lorraine, is lovely and will always be on hand to help or give advice if you need it. There is a comprehensive information book, some games, books, binoculars and WiFi which is helpful for Google Maps (P.S. Google Maps now has an offline feature which means you can still be tracked whilst in Airplane mode)

You will definitely need a car for this property, however the drive to the beautiful town of Moraira is not difficult, with parking available just before you get into the town and from there an incredibly short walk to the beach and restaurants. Moraira is probably the closest town and we ourselves didn't travel to Javea or Denia this time but they seem fairly close too. Within Cumbre Del Sol there is also a fantastic restaurant, Restaurant La Cumbre, just next to the Pepe La Sal supermarket which is worth trying out.

Hopefully this review has helped you realise what a great villa this is, and if so, I've given something back for the lovely week we spent there. Thank you to Mike and Eleanor for a fantastic stay and to Lorraine for being so helpful. We'll be back again in the near future!

We had a wonderful stay and will be going back in 2017. The customer service was excellent before we even visited the villa, which gave us great confidence regarding what to expect on arrival. The description of the villa was accurate and the photos too it is every bit as beautiful as it looks. The amenities were superb. The hosts have honestly thought of everything needed for a wonderful holiday, in the kitchen, lounge, bedrooms bathrooms and outside.

The welcome pack is the best we have ever had.

It is stated in the advert that a car is essential and this s true however several lovely, welcoming towns with numorous restaurants to choose from are close by which entails a very short drive.

If you want a change from the super pool ( we had it heated) the sandy beach is a short drive away. The villa was very clean and well maintained with plenty of household equipment if needed.

I would recommend this villa to friends and family without hesitation.

All rentals should be this comfortable!

This property leaves little to be desired. The mattresses, sofas, and dining chairs were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well-supplied not only with utensils and appliances, but even with some food items. Nice wool blankets and cozy gas fireplace for the winter. Everything was in working order, and there were no musty smells or unpleasant odors. Lovely view, elaborate home-entertainment system, quiet neighborhood (in February at least), helpful caretaker. A car is essential. The location is often breezy.

The villa is just beautiful and the view is out of this world. We had a very pleasant two weeks there. The closest town to the villa is Moraira which has plenty of great restaurants, a large beach, and plenty of areas to sit or go for a walk. The whole area is very clean and the people are friendly. I highly recommend the villa as well as the whole region where it is situated. What a great place to spend a vacation.

Described as the 'Balcony of the Mediterranean', the extraordinary location of La Cumbre del Sol offers spectacular and panoramic views from points rising to up to 300m above sea level. In an area considered by the World Health Organization to have ‘one of the most environmentally perfect climates in the world', Cumbre del Sol borders National Parkland, and also has it’s own picturesque private beach (Moraig beach). Cumbre del Sol has twice hosted the finish of a stage of the cycle road race, 'La Vuelta a Espagne', most recently in 2017. It is a very popular area for road cycling with many testing themselves on the now famous Puig de la Llorenca hill climb. It is spectacular scenery with photo opportunities at every turn including the famous Montgo ('Elephant Mountain'), the Bernia mountains, the Cape de la Nao - the most easterly point of Spain - the dramatic Ifach Rock at Calpe, and as far east as Ibiza.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT - We accept HomeAway's online bookings and payments, so if it's convenient for you to use the HomeAway system to book and pay for your stay at Casa Windlenook then feel free to do so. Please note that if you choose to use HomeAway's online bookings and payments, HomeAway will charge you a 'Traveller Service Fee'. This fee is added to our rental rate when you request a quote / book, and is payable to HomeAway (to cover their marketing, service, and 'Book With Confidence Guarantee'). This additional fee will be between 6% and 8% of the total rental.

INCLUSIVE RATES - Our rental rates include all anticipated rental charges i.e. A/C, WiFI, linens and towels, all cleaning and energy costs - no hidden extras! Because of the way this site displays our rates, they may not be accurate and are often too high - please get in touch and we'll send you a correct quote.

POOL HEATING - is optional, and is available year-round - we have a powered heat pump so can heat the water to a lovely warm 28 degrees year round! If you choose to have the pool heated, we charge a supplement of £125 per week.

RENTAL PERIODS - Rentals are normally for Saturday arrivals/departures and for stays of 7 or 14 nights, particularly in summer months. We have more flexibility outside of the peak months, so for other arrival/departure days, or stays of different durations please just ask!

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
