Beautiful home in Lancaster
This was our third visit to Lancaster and our third time staying at 53 Peach Lane. The home is just so beautiful—immaculate and welcoming. We had everything we needed. The homeowner is always quick to respond and is so pleasant. Lydia (the neighbor across the street) is so pleasant and we so appreciate her homemade whoopie pies. We had a wonderful time and plan to return next year. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!

Short family getaway
Our family traveled in from Va to see the Oak Ridge Boys. The house was just as described, lots of space, plenty of beds and everything was greatly stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and can’t wait to come back!

Heavenly Thanksgiving in Lancaster County!
This home was the perfect location to bring my family together for the holiday. From the very beginning, at booking, all of my communications with Wayne, the owner, were straightforward and easy. We both laid out our expectations (some hopes for cookware on my part) and he exceeded them easily. His main expectation was for us to have everything we needed. The house is extremely comfortable and welcoming. The fireplace and piano especially made it feel so warm and cozy. However, the main reason, beyond location, that I chose this house was the huge kitchen. We were all able to help prepare the Thanksgiving meal together and there was plenty of room to do so. There is every convenience you need, and so many pans and utensils that cooking and baking was a breeze. However, Wayne's neighbors, Lydia and Paul, are the real stars of our vacation. Lydia had left the most delicious mini whoopie pies upon check in, and I was so happy to be able to meet her after I texted her a thank you. Not only is she warm, kind, welcoming, informative (don't miss Down on the Farm creamery nearby for the best ice cream you will ever taste), but she saved me from going to the market a third time by donating the 3 missing ingredients for our Thanksgiving meal. She let me know early and often to let her know if I needed anything (w/o being intrusive). I would go on if I had more space, but, bottom line, I highly recommend this home for any occasion without hesitation. It was lovely from start to finish.

Our roots In Lancaster County date back to Hans Herr, Benedict Brackbill, Hans Groff and other early Anabaptist settlers in Lancaster County. A recent work opportunity has temporarily taken us elsewhere allowing us to share a home that we love with others visiting the area.

Why they chose this property

We purchased our home to raise our family among large extended family and friends. Our kids grew up playing with Amish neighbors, which gave them a special understanding of their "way"(culture) and a strong understanding and appreciation of hard work and family.

What makes this property unique

This property has the beauty of a rural farm area while being close enough to many of the attractions and economic opportunities that a more urban environment would provide. For us it has been a home with fantastic neighbors in a beautiful area. After traveling and returning home, we are always amazed by the beauty of the area. The view from the house is one of the best!
