About The Owner

My husband and I are native to WA State, Self employed small business owners, in our 40's/50's and have 3 of our own children!! Our dream, like many to own a cabin!! We are avid outdoor people. Husband and 2 boys bow hunt with dad. We all Like to go fishing, snowmobile, hike, ride dirt bikes, quads and use our samuri suzuki 4x4's for trail driving around the mountains. (way cheaper then quads and much easier ride)I enjoy taking pictures of nature 'not pro' and I love to forage for edible mushrooms per my hobby is cooking. We also look for antler's that fall every spring around the same time Morel's come up. This place has it all!!

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2005

Why The Owner chose Cle Elum

Close to town and the off ramp. Closer to the on ramp to Ellensburg and the vast forest to explore. South Cle Elum has longer lasting sun, more often than not the weather is better on this side of Cle Elum than Lake Cle Elum area where its traditionaly really windy, recieves more snow fall and in the summer mesquito's out in full force there and none at our site. Our Development has a pool with a lodge, bunk houses, cabana to host large parties in (OWNER ONLY)and excellent, private access to all the trails.

What makes this cabin unique

Excellent views of the Stuart Mt's from the back deck, the crisp pine sent breezes, the quiet, the wild deer and turkey's who visit. Going to the pool with the kids and friends and meeting new people. Being able to sit in a quiet, private hot tub while looking at the views or relaxing at night under the stars in the cascade Mt's. Best of all no neighboorhoody noise. Just the wild life.

Driving the vast trail system in the summer and winter, both are equally beautiful and fun to see all the changes of the seasons. The wild flowers are incredible.

My favorite part is to cook for large groups and I have equipped the cabin for all us foodies.

Great cabin & views over mountains

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic time in a lovely cabin in a peaceful quiet area. The cabin was really well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the wild turkeys and deer in the morning. Great comfortable beds. Found that the owners couldn't do enough for us and were very patient answering my queries (we're British so were not used to staying in an American home!). Follow owner's directions to the cabin and you can't go wrong either. Would highly recommend and if we were out that way again (it was a once in a lifetime holiday picking up daughter from college at CWU) then we would definitely book again.

Comfortable cabin with a view!

  • 4 of 5

Great view from the back decks. The number of deer that passed through was a real bonus.

While the community water well turned out to be the limiting factor in our headcount (cabin’s max is 10), there were ample beds and alternate sleeping arrangements, all comfortable.

Pay close attention to owner’s directions to the cabin. We did not and had a very nice drive up and down the mountain, LOL!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review! Comment on community water was miss spoken. What we said, is that we have a max of 8 adults/rest kids per personal septic system/drain field we maintain ourselves. "Usage" The elder adults used google/MapQuest instead of my personal directions, although the young adults did the same thing and found it, so? It's literally a few turns up off the main road lol. Best to use our directions :)

ATV getaway

  • 5 of 5

The forest and mountain views with this cabin was fabulous! The moment we entered the area we felt the hustle & bustle was long gone. We had a great time bringing our ATV's and exploring the green dot roads near the cabin. Nothing can beat relaxing in the hot tub afterward. It was amazing seeing the deer and the turkey come up to the cabin. We were able to get so close to them! Got some great footage as we were feeding them. I wish it would've been warmer so we could enjoy the community pool. I want to Thank the owners who found something valuable that I lost while there and sending it back to me. Overall we had a good time!

Weekend Getaway & Snowmobiling Fun

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great! We had a wonderful time with friends. Cabin in secluded yet close to everything. Very relaxing and quiet. Kitchen was very well stocked so there wasn't a need to bring extra dishes. Plenty of cookware, dishes, coffee which was great because we forgot the coffee. Games were great for playing in the evening. Beds had cozy memory foam which were extremely comfortable. Cabin didn't have the typical closed up cabin smell. We were pleasantly surprised that the cabin was already warm and ready for our stay when we arrived.

Great cabin for romantic getaway or family trip!

We would definitely recommend this to friends and family. And we will stay again! We are planning on booking a summer trip with our younger boys. They will love to ride their bikes in the community!

Enjoyed our stay at 'The Calls' Cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Like the owner said before we arrived, "pictures don't do its justice". It was a truly amazing, you get the feel of being on an adventure. The hot tub was the best part in my opinion, especially in the cold temperature and the snow outside. We had plenty of firewood to keep ourselves extra warm. The rooms were clean and neatly organized, saw a couple deers/elks early in the morning walking by which was spectacular. In addition, I am thinking of booking it again sometime in the future. Thanks to "The Calls" for having a cozy gateway cabin for people to enjoy.

Owner's Response: We really can't express enough how much more it is to see it in person than from pictures. We have daily deer and multiple packs of turkeys come in the morning and evening, keep your eyes open :) Look forward to future bookings.
