Uncomfortable--cold and hidden expenses

My wife, two daughters, and infant son are staying at this property this weekend. The apartment environment is like an ice box and it has been a miserable stay for my family--so much that we had to book another room at a nearby hotel so they could get some rest and relaxation.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the heat in the main bedroom is not functional. The management knows this because they provided two space heaters which are not doing an adequate job of heating the apartment. The host came out to the property but also told my wife that she will be unavailable the last two days of the stay.

Additionally, we found out after we book this property that you have to pay as you go for electricity and water. Combine that fact with the heating issue, and my wife has paid 20 Euro in the first 16 hours of her stay.

Recommend not staying at this property until the summer.

Owner's Response: Dear guest, The apartment was as per described in detail on the website and no hidden charges were incurred. As the fault in the air con unit in the kitchen was on a Saturday, there were no services as they are closed on saturdays and do not work. But as the unexpected happens and you have no control to it we are supplied to the full in which you were provided with a gas heater with a 3-burner gas, which was not sufficient but truly enough to heat up a room. Additional to this, the bedroom area had an air con unit which was running on heating mode during the your stay. I called in myself to explain the reason the air con fault in the kitchen area which i have replaced with a gas heater. Our Gas heaters are for commercial use, deliver the same speed of heat comfortably and are replaced when an emergency occurs. The gas heater was placed in middle of room for heating before your arrival. As described here above, the apartment is coin operated and is cleared described on the website that electricity is coin operated depending on usage at the apartment . Minimum usage of 2 euros to 2.50c euors per day. Thanks for understanding and for your time and patience to hear my side The Management

A nice and quiet apartment!

I would say it is a great apartment to stay for Holiday. Very convenient and confortable. It has good transports links and easy to find. The only thing I can say is that there are very few kitchen utensil which is a bit regrettable and the air conditioning in the main room does not work...

My friends and I had a really good stay in Malta!!

There is a switch for the air con which must be switched for the unit to work. A pity not having let us know. The problem would have not be an nuisance. Very nice apartments in a quiet area.

The apartments we rented are very modern and include all things required to live for both long and short lets. It was clean and well maintained. Very nice indoor pool area to enjoy both in summer and winter. Overall our group enjoyed our stay very much.

Casa bellissima! Unico problema le zanzare e il fatto che la piscina ha dei limiti orari, per il resto casa molto moderna spaziosa e comoda, non si soffre molto il caldo e la posizione permette di raggiungere il centro con un pullman in 10 minuti

Un appartement super

L'appartement est à à peine 3-4 arrêts de bus de St Julian. L'arrêt (Kosta) est juste en bas de la côte ce qui est très pratique. Il y a des bus pour aller à la baie de St Paul mais aussi dans le nord de l'île (pour prendre le ferry pour gozo par exemple), ainsi que des bus direct pour aller à Sliema (15min) et à la Valette (30min). Le quartier est calme, il n'y a quasiment que des villas.

Quant à l'appartement en lui même, il est juste super! Cuisine avec le nécessaire (mais malheureusement pas de micro onde) télé, clic clac, fer à repasser, chauffage d'appoint si nécessaire, machine à laver, lit confortable, salle de bain propre et petite terrasse privative. L'appartement est conforme aux photos. Les propriétaires David et Jane ont été très accueillants! Je les remercie pour cet accueil. À chaque fois qu'on a eu besoin de quoi que ce soit, il nous a suffit d'envoyer un mail et nous avions une réponse assez rapidement. Je recommande vivement cette propriété car l'appartement est très bien situé et est propre, et David et Jane ont été des hôtes très chaleureux.

The location is quiet and residential. The local leisure and adverture activities and other local services are within easy reach on foot or 10 minutes by car. During the summer months the nearby locations are jam packing with activites including watersports, sightseeing, and excursions. There is a Water, splash and fun park and the Mediterraneo for all the family. Beaches are located in St.George's Bay, Sliema and near Tigne Point.

Ideal for long walks in the countryside. Beaches and water park and marine park can be reached by public transport which takes only 5 minutes drive away. Shops and daily needs can be reached on foot - 20 minutes the maximum to nearby village of Ta'Libragg where there are ATMS, 3 level multi storey supermarkets, car park, winery and spirits, churches, confectioneries and cafes.
