New cabin on 9 Acre property bordering Glacier Park/Flathead River
About Sue MacLean
We're from Canada and we bought this property after years of searching for the perfect spot, well we found it!! We come down to Montana a fair bit but decided to share it with others as we can't be down here on a full time basis.
Why Sue MacLean chose Essex
I first discovered this spot as a teenager when my dad used to take me rafting on the Middle Fork of the Flathead. There is something magical about this place and if you've ever been to this area I'm sure you would agree. We love to hike, fish and raft in the summer and snowshoe in the winter. This is our year round playground!! The mountains, wildlife and endless activities you can do are at your fingertips.
What makes this Cabin unique
Location location location. You'll find very few properties that are on the Middle Fork of the Flathead which borders Glacier National Park. We are 24 miles from the West Glacier Park Entrance and 35 miles from the East Glacier Park entrance. There area also hundreds of thousands of acres of Great Bear Wilderness directly across the highway so you can pick your playground!!
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
The comforts of home
Perfect location for traveling GTTS highway, not having to double back, as well as Many Glaciers. Spacious cabin, beautifully appointed, with beautiful and comfortable furniture/bed. Sue, the owner, was very accommodating. A bit of advice: do your grocery shopping before getting too close to the park entrances!
This little house was the perfect place for exploring Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. We got up early to hike the park most days and made sure to back to the house before 3pm so we could enjoy a water down to the Flathead river, grill dinner, have a nice fire and just enjoy the space. The house is new and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need. My husband enjoyed a bit of fishing and caught (and released:) several beautiful cot throat. We truly had a fabulous time and would recommend this rental to anyone heading that way.
Nice small house with all the amenities you need. Sue was a great communicator and made the logistics a breeze.
This cabin and property are amazing. Very private and secluded. A bit of a drive from the park entrances, but definitely worth it considering the privacy you gain.
Cabin in the woods
Great place. Clean with a nice compliment of amenities. Location was ideal for both park entrances.
Relaxing Stay Near Glacier NP.
Our stay at Sue’s cabin was wonderful! Not only is the cabin in a great location to visit many parts of Glacier NP, but it is beautifully decorated (and very clean), with many thoughtful touches, from kitchen essentials to the boot mat for those muddy hiking boots. My husband and I found the cabin to be very homey and relaxing, and we wished we could have stayed even longer! It was a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the Park. Further, the communication with Sue was excellent! She was very kind and hospitable and responded very quickly to all my messages. I highly recommend staying here—it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Montana!
The world is at your fingertips whether you want to explore Glacier National Park from either the East or West Glacier entrances, whitewater raft down the Middle Fork of the Flathead, throw your line in one of the beautiful fishing holes below our property, golf at nearby courses, visit the historic Izaak Walton Inn or just sit back on the deck and take it all in!
