Lovely Cabin between entrances for GNP
We enjoyed this well built, well stocked and tastefully decorated little cabin for our 15yr anniversary trip to GNP. A bit of a drive from anything in the park but it is a beautiful drive and nice to get away from the crowds.
Cozy cabin in the woods
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin outside of glacier! We felt immediately at home as soon as we arrived; he place was sparkling clean, all amenities were thoroughly thought out and available, and the location was quiet, but conveniently close to either entrance of Glacier. Our host was very responsive with any questions we had and was easy to get a hold of. Nothing could have been better, and we would love to come back and stay again!
Awesome Glacier National Park Get Away
We loved our little cabin in the woods. very private and a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of hiking.
The Owner was super responsive and so very nice. Great location if you want to see both sides of Glacier National Park
The comforts of home
Perfect location for traveling GTTS highway, not having to double back, as well as Many Glaciers. Spacious cabin, beautifully appointed, with beautiful and comfortable furniture/bed. Sue, the owner, was very accommodating. A bit of advice: do your grocery shopping before getting too close to the park entrances!
This little house was the perfect place for exploring Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. We got up early to hike the park most days and made sure to back to the house before 3pm so we could enjoy a water down to the Flathead river, grill dinner, have a nice fire and just enjoy the space. The house is new and beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need. My husband enjoyed a bit of fishing and caught (and released:) several beautiful cot throat. We truly had a fabulous time and would recommend this rental to anyone heading that way.
The world is at your fingertips whether you want to explore Glacier National Park from either the East or West Glacier entrances, whitewater raft down the Middle Fork of the Flathead, throw your line in one of the beautiful fishing holes below our property, golf at nearby courses, visit the historic Izaak Walton Inn or just sit back on the deck and take it all in!
About Sue MacLean
We're from Canada and we bought this property after years of searching for the perfect spot, well we found it!! We come down to Montana a fair bit but decided to share it with others as we can't be down here on a full time basis.
Sue MacLean purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Sue MacLean chose Essex
I first discovered this spot as a teenager when my dad used to take me rafting on the Middle Fork of the Flathead. There is something magical about this place and if you've ever been to this area I'm sure you would agree. We love to hike, fish and raft in the summer and snowshoe in the winter. This is our year round playground!! The mountains, wildlife and endless activities you can do are at your fingertips.
What makes this Cabin unique
Location location location. You'll find very few properties that are on the Middle Fork of the Flathead which borders Glacier National Park. We are 24 miles from the West Glacier Park Entrance and 35 miles from the East Glacier Park entrance. There area also hundreds of thousands of acres of Great Bear Wilderness directly across the highway so you can pick your playground!!
