Villa Ombak is a large one bedroom with onsuite bathroom private villa set in tropical grounds and facing the ocean. There is an outside balcony perfect to watch the sunrise or enjoy an evening cocktail while taking in the sunset. You also have a perfect view of the many local ceremonies that take place oceanfront. The villa is part of a small boutique resort that sleeps 19 guests so you have the use of our restaurant and spa

Born in England I went to Sydney Australia with my family aged 5 years. My work history includes fashion,beauty and decor. I trained as a beauty therapist and hairdresser in my early years. Then I became a fashion buyer for an upscale department store and eventually moving on to my own stores in fashion and homewares. My first trip to Bali was in 1978 and that became a love affair with the island and the people.
My husband and I have lived in Bali for 13 years full time and we were in export homewares and fashion also owning fashion stores in hotels,Sanur and Seminyak.In 2013 we purchased what was Irene's Homestay then for the next three years sent all our time working to renovated the property until it became Aashaya Jasri Resort.

Why they chose this property

In the late 1990's we bought land in Pereranan and built a very beautiful villa which we sold in 2007 to move to a smaller townhouse in the middle of Seminyak. I missed the rural charm of being out of town and always thought about something in the Karangasem area.Never thinking about a hotel. Then this property came on the market and although it needed a vision and lots of work I felt it was a good challenge and with my history in decor there was a good opportunity to do something new.

What makes this property unique

The property needed TLC but the position surrounded by ocean,mountains and the beautiful coastline gave us the feeling of being back in the Bali we remembered from our earliest visits. The local village and surrounding area is still untouched unlike the southern part of Bali and we are tucked down off the main road to Amed so apart from the locals there is no through road.
