Surf, swim, volleyball on the beach and play in the sun. Miniature golf, shopping, dining (my favorite is Joseph's by the Sea), Palace Playland amusement park (town square), bike trail, bird sanctuary. Fireworks on the beach every Thursday night during summer and great road races, concerts and events such as IronMan held here.
About Alison McCormick
I am so fortunate to be able to live in this paradise. Although the summers are the period of high demand I also love the solitude of winter with the thundering waves and snow shoeing on the beach. I take pride in the accommodations and comfort of my guests.
Alison McCormick purchased this cottage in 2001
Why Alison McCormick chose Old Orchard Beach
The location is perfect. Close to the beach but 'far from the madding crowd'. Built more than 100 years ago with sturdy structure and materials. I have taken care to preserve the charm while incorporating updates such as the hardwood floors, new windows, granite countertop, etc. It was once the summer cottage for Rudy Vallee when he was playing at the pier during the big band era. Since he also wrote the University of Maine (my alma mater) theme song, I have a strong affiliation for this home.
