Dove Farmhouse is a stunning farmhouse with its own private garden is set in a small village near the picturesque market town of Eye in Suffolk. For larger groups there is a nearby barn which sleeps four listed under Dove Cart Lodge. Each can be rented separately with total seclusion or are close enough for a larger family or group gathering. The perfect spot from which to explore both the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside and coastline.

There is a wonderful farmhouse kitchen with large dining table to seat 14 plus plenty of reception rooms to relax in. There are four double bedrooms, one twin, one triple and one single to sleep a maximum of 14 (plus two travel cots if required). Three bathrooms and two separate loo's. There is plenty of space to have fun or just relax in the large enclosed garden. Plenty of parking space in it's own gated driveway.

It also has its own games room with snooker table and 42' TV!

Beds are all made with towels provided as is all heating and electricity. Free WIFI is available.

The accommodation is set over three floors:

Ground Floor:

Family snug with TV off kitchen with double doors onto garden terrace

Formal sitting room with three large sofas, piano and TV

Games room with snooker table, table football, piano, sofas and 42" TV and DVD player

About Jo West

Dove Farmhouse is part of the Warren Hill Farm Partnership. The farm has been in the families ownership for over 100 years. Dove Farmhouse was one of the family's private dwellings until 2013. The family estate mainly comprises of arable land growing various crops including Wheat, Barley, Sugar Beet, Oilseed Rape, Potatoes and also specialising in herbs. These include Coriander, Parsley, Oregano, Thyme and Basil. There are also two herds of cattle. One being a herd of rare breed Longhorns and the other a mixture of Simmental and Aberdeen Angus. The farm prides itself on wildlife conservation and strives to increase the habitats of many species including the native english partridge, owls, kestrels, brown hares, red deer etc.

Jo West purchased this farmhouse in 1920

Perfect house, perfect location, perfect owner!!

I rented this house for my sisters hen weekend, with girls aged from 30 to 59 years old, and I cannot say enough good things about it. It is huge and has the most gorgeous garden which we were fortunate enough to get lots of use out of due to having great weather. The bedrooms were all beautiful and more than big enough for everyone. The games room and pianos were really good fun too and there are bikes to use as well.

There is a pub just up the road and a shop nearby too. The house is very easy to get to and there are some amazing places nearby to visit. We did canoeing during the daytime which was so much fun.

The owner Jo was a pleasure to deal with. Communication was great and she let me into the house the day before the hen weekend so that I could set up all of the decorations ready for the girls arrival! She even left a gorgeous welcome basket full of delicious treats for us too!

I could only dream of owning a stunning house like this and I will be recommending it to everyone! I shall definitely be returning. If I could give this house more than 5* I would!

Beautiful house perfect for groups

Great 2nd visit

This was our 2nd visit to Eye and the house & facilities were just as good as last time. We decided to eat at the Oaksmere Hotel on Saturday so the location was also excellent as we were able to walk there easily, even with children in tow!

Family weekend

We have just returned from a super weekend at Dove Farmhouse. We had our whole family including our 3 month old grand daughter to our 80 year old mum and dad. We booked the house for a surprise for mums 80th and it was everything we hoped for and more. The house was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed using the BBQ and as the weather was beautiful all had time to spend in the glorious garden and on arrival there was a hamper waiting for us. The house is well situated to travel around to see more of Suffolk too. We would love to return to the house again.
