The Neighborhood:
Lazy Acres is a quiet neighborhood comprised of short term rentals and year-round residents. The posted speed limit is 15 mph and the noise ordinance is in effect after 10 PM.

Getting Around:
A car is required in order to get around West Yellowstone and surrounding areas. In the winter, a vehicle with AWD is HIGHLY recommended!

Other Things to Note:
In the winter, access to snowmobile trails is accessible at the end of the road via a trailhead. It is critical that all motorized vehicles remain on driveways or roads as the entire neighborhood runs on septic systems that are in the "yards" of the cabins.

In the summer, this is a horseback riding trail. ATV trails can be accessed via a trailhead off the main highway.

Great For Snowmobiling!
A group of 6 of us stayed on the property for an early-March snowmobiling trip. We could not have been happier. The cabin roads were plowed despite a fresh snow the night of our arrival. The heated garage is great for thawing your sleds out and the trail is just a 30 second ride from the cabin. The hot tub was well maintained and we used it every night. Beds were comfortable and most of the bedrooms included their own bathrooms.

Winter wonderland
House was the perfect size for our family. Close to town with beautiful views and lots of snow….far enough from town to feel remote. Could improve on the heating system…some areas were cool while bedrooms were hot. Showers were small so don’t plan on washing your feet.

Great place! Roomy, well appointed.
Loved this place. Large kitchen so we could have 4 people doing meal prep without bumping into each other. Loved the downstairs fireplace. Be sure to bring your own Kleenex. There are none and we had to go buy some. But that only a slight inconvenience. It will not impact our returning.

Host profile image
We are Ben and Julie Thomas. We met while attending the University of Montana in 2004. After getting married in 2007, we moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where we now live and work. We traveled to the Lazy Acres neighborhood each winter to enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, and Yellowstone National Park activities. When the opportunity came up to purchase Lone Pine Lodge (VRBO 780758) in the fall of 2015, we decided to get a place of our own in Lazy Acres. We loved working with guests and sharing a beautiful cabin so much that we couldn't resist another opportunity when it presented itself! We purchased Pine Mountain Lodge in September of 2017 and look forward to helping you create the same memories that our family has enjoyed in West Yellowstone.
