This was the perfect location to see Madrid. Just off the Plaza Major in the heart of old Madrid. Just a few steps from San Miguel Market and near shopping as well. Very easy to walk everywhere. The guy greeting us at the property was right on time and very thorough in going over the details of the property. Very professional. The only challenge was getting our heavy suitcases up the several flights of stairs, but, well worth the effort. I would definitely rent this place again when we return to Madrid.
The apt is very nice and the people are great to work with. There is no lift, after getting your bags up on the first day, it's not so bad. You will be very close to Plaza Mayor and tons of shops and outside cafe's. There is a great pub with great sangria and food just across the street from your front gate. Make sure you take a converter if you are from the USA. Watch out for pick pockets on the subway, they are pro's.
Have a great stay!
The villa was perfectly located in the middle of everything!!! The villa was extremely clean and spacious for all of us and had an amazing view of the plaza as well as comfortable beds and great Loewe lotion and soaps in the bathrooms. The building entrance is very deceiving as it is very run down and they are working on putting an elevator to make it better to take luggage up to apartment. The lock at the main door was a bit difficult to unlock and you had to play with the door a little to get it opened. Once you were inside it was amazing!!! I have already recommended it to our friends.
The only thing is that we could not get the washer/dryer to dry at all and management was called but did not send someone out to get it fixed or at least give us proper instructions. We recommend to have instructions in english for the washer/dryer.
The bedroom next to the master does not have its own a/c unit and you must share the unit from the master keeping the doors open between rooms. We would recommend management to get a wall unit for it at least so the door connecting can be closed and still have a cool room during the night. We plan on renting this apartment again and continue to recommend to our friends and family traveling to Madrid
We spent a week in this flat and will for sure stay here again when we go back to Madrid. The flat is very roomy and modern. The welcome service was very accommodating. The location was perfect to everything literally at your doorstep.
We absolutely loved this apartment. Everything was provided for us ahead of time, including some snacks, which was a nice touch. Alex from Spain-Select made us feel welcome and he gave us great tips on how to navigate through the city when we first arrived. The rooms are spacious and clean. We had two 8 year-old girls with us, and they were quite impressed by the gorgeous interior. The noise level from the streets below was more than we anticipated, as we did not realize just how busy Calle Mayor is. Nonetheless, we were extremely satisfied with our stay. We would definitely book this apartment again.
