About Jenn Waltko
My husband and I own a small insurance agency here in Lakeside. We moved here from the valley a few years ago and LOVE living in the White Mountains. We have three grown children and one son-in-law (just waiting on the grand-kids!). We are avid hikers and mountain-bikers and try to enjoy our local trails as much as possible.
Why Jenn Waltko chose Lakeside
I grew up in the valley and spent summers coming up to visit my grandparents at the cabin. They purchased the cabin the year I was born! I remember my teasing my grandma that they purchased the cabin to celebrate my birth - she would just smile and say "okay". This cabin holds many special memories for generations of my family, including aunts, uncles, cousins and my children. It was my primary residence for a short while and recently completely renovated. I hope you enjoy the "memory room" in back with a little history on my grandparents and the cabin remodel. We also found some cool relics from the 1930's - 1950's when tearing out the bathroom walls. Probably hidden there since the 1960's!
What makes this Cabin unique
We love sitting on the huge front porch. We have many deer in the neighborhood and love to feed the squirrels and birds. You can walk to the movies, many restaurants including Pinetop Brewing Co. Safeway is a 3 minute drive. However when you're sitting on the front porch, you feel you are miles from anywhere! After a fun filled day of hiking, biking, fishing, antiquing or just relaxing the Jacuzzi is a great way to spend the evening!

Perfect little cabin!!
This was the perfect little cabin for our weekend trip! We loved it!! It has everything you need including games, hot tub, electric fire place, and lots of sleeping space. Will definitely be staying again.
Clean, as advertised
We had a great stay and while up in Pinetop, investigated numerous other properties to do the same next year. None lived up to the combination of location, wildlife, amenities and atmosphere. If you're a foodie, bring your own knives and perhaps a good egg pan. Personally, I looked at it as "roughing it", hahaha. Also, The Pasta House down the street. It looks like someone's mother's house. But.....yummo! Darbie's was excellent as well. We saw a bald eagle, squirrels and elk. I had a dog with me and he LOVED the fireplace (so did I). Great job Ms. Jenn!
Thank you Monique for your thoughtful review! Hope to have you back for a future stay! Jenn
We spent New Years weekend at this cabin this year and it was an amazing experience. The pictures don’t do it justice. The hot tub was a nice bonus. We were also lucky enough to have snow fall. The cabin is so homey. We would love to come back! Thank you for the experience!!!
Thank you Britni for your kind review! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you return! It is a great place for all of the White Moubtain seasons!! Jenn
Absolutely a wonderful place to visit! My husband and I had such a great week here. Very private and has everything that you'll need. The owner's are very responsive and provide what you need. Jacuzzi was a major plus.
Thank you so much Samantha for your kind review!! So glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to have you back on your next trip to the White Mountains!
Loved the cabin and area!
We absolutely loved this cabin. The location is great— it’s convenient to places in town, but secluded enough to feel away from it all. The owner truly cares about the guest experience. We walked in to find a beautifully decorated cabin, Christmas tree, prepared jacuzzi, bottle of wine, and nice welcome note. There was also a binder full of recommendations for hikes, restaurants (we enjoyed Darbi’s), etc around town. The cabin is extremely well stocked and had everything we needed. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing experience to forget our busy day to day. Thanks again. We absolutely plan to return.
Thank you Meghan for your thoughtful review! So glad you enjoyed your stay - we would love to have you return to our cabin! Merry Christmas! Jenn
We loved the tall pines blanketed with fresh snow. The peace and quiet was the perfect getaway from the craziness of life. The cabin was immaculate and very well stocked for all of our needs.
