Overview

Photos and Description of this Isle of Man holiday house

3 bedroomed self-catering property with off road parking

Welcome to Ballalough House Beg. The Beg, a 3 bedroom self-catering property with off road parking, is located adjacent to Ballalough House, and is found on the edge of the village of Andreas in the centre of the northern plain of the Isle of Man.

The property will sleep up to 6 people in a mixed configuration, with 2 twin / double rooms and one twin room. The Beg complies with all Isle of Man regulations, and is strictly non-smoking. The property is located in an area where wildlife is encouraged, and steps to develop the flora and fauna are actively pursued, which means it is not suitable for pets. A number of copses and large ponds are ideal breeding grounds for the many birds and other wildlife that have made the 6+ acres their home.

The Beg is adjacent to Ballalough House, and is located on the edge of the small northern village of Andreas. It is ideally suited for many activities, and the idyllic setting allows the ability to get away from it all, whilst still being within walking distance of the village centre, where a Post Office, Shop, Hair Dressers and Pub exist. The larger town of Ramsey is 5 miles by car. Buses service the village from Ramsey, and thereon to Douglas, Peel and many other locations around the Island.

The outside of both Ballalough House, and ‘The Beg’, are covered by 24 hr CCTV, so that your peace of mind is assured.

The land immediately surrounding ‘The Beg’ is available for visitors to use responsibly, so that the flora / fauna and animal life in the area can be enjoyed in an environment that is supportive of their needs. BeeHives are kept on the land, and there are a variety of birds that grace the area, so be on the look out for Peregrine, Hen Harriers, Tree Creepers, Tits, Snipe and many others. We would encourage those interested in Birds to record their sightings so others may know what is around.

Ramsey provides access to the Manx Electric Railway, which wends its’ way to Laxey, where the Mountain Railway starts, and onto Douglas, where the explorer can enjoy the Horse Trams, the Steam Railway, or the modern day capital of the Isle of Man. There are many secluded locations around the northern beaches where you can enjoy a quiet walk or swim in the refreshing waters of the Irish Sea.

This website tried to give you a glimpse of the tranquil setting and the idyllic location that can be the base for your holiday, whether it is to be an active one, taking advantage of the many pursuits on offer, or just to enjoy the sights and sounds on offer, maybe watching the birds at one of the Island’s bird sanctuaries, or just to walk one of the many beaches, hills or glens on offer.
