Newly remodeled throughout in 2017, DeStijl South captures the Montana spirit in a contemporary Northwest vernacular. Make the most of your mountain vacation in this stunning, custom designed 1800 s.f., three level duplex unit which provides generous space for quiet relaxation and entertaining, while comfortably sleeping nine in three bedrooms, each with a private bath. This residence is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood between the village and the base area . Whether you are planning a day of powder skiing in winter or hiking and mountain biking in the summer, all you have to do is step out the door. In winter, choose to ski down to the mountain base area via Home Again (an easy “green” run) just a short 200 yards away. During the summer you can enjoy numerous “on mountain” activities, all without getting in your car.
After a day of enjoying the best of Montana, return home to this tastefully decorated and comfortable duplex unit for a relaxing evening. The main living level features an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling and exposed wood trusses. There is an open, freestanding linear fireplace with a window wall backdrop overlooking the mountains to the east. The living area provides a variety of seating options and also includes a 55” flat screen HDTV with sound bar. The adjacent kitchen area is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, engineered quartz countertops, and all of the small appliances and equipment necessary to prepare a hearty meal for your entire group. Dining seating for nine is provided around a custom, hand planed alder counter height island table. A powder room is located just of the great room area. For the warmer months, the living area and bedroom on the main living level open onto a spacious, fully covered deck with a sitting area and bistro table.
Just out the back door unwind in the shared hot tub. This is a new Bullfrog 6 person hot tub located undercover to provide some protection from the elements. There is also a flat screen TV with sound bar for your enjoyment while enjoying an invigorating soak.
When you are ready to turn in for the evening, retire to one of the three bedrooms. All bedrooms feature private baths, individually controlled in floor radiant heating, fans, high quality mattresses and linens, cable TV and Sonos speakers. Bedroom 1 is located on the upper level and is the “bunk room”. It contains two bunk beds (one twin over full and one twin over twin), a sitting area with a 40” flat screen TV and DVD player, and an adjacent private bath. Bedroom 2, also located on the upper level, features a California king bed, en suite bath, and a 32” flat screen TV. Bedroom 3 is located on the main level and opens onto the front covered deck. It contains a queen bed, en suite bath, and a 32” flat screen TV.
The entry is on the lower level along with a heated, single car garage and laundry room. The garage is outfitted with ski/snowboard storage racks, a hanging area, as well as a boot and glove dryer.
A Sonos wireless home sound system delivers your choice of music throughout the unit. You favorite music can be played wirelessly from any of your devices. There are speakers in the great room and each bedroom. Private, high speed wireless internet is accessible throughout the unit. There is a landline phone with free long distance in the US, Canada and Mexico. Depending on your service provider, cell service can be spotty.
This location allows for easy access to all of the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana attractions for both summer and winter visitors. The historic, year round resort town of Whitefish offers a wide variety of excellent dining, shopping, and entertainment options and is just 7 miles away. During the winter, the SNOW bus offers a FREE shuttle from the resort to numerous locations in town. Supplement your ski vacation with any number of winter activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice skating or even dog sledding-all close by.
During the summer Whitefish Mountain Resort has a wide range of on mountain activities including mountain biking for all skill levels, hiking the Danny On Trail, Zip Line Tours, Scenic Lift Rides, Alpine Slide, Spider Monkey Mountain, Summit Nature Center and the Aerial Adventure Park. Nearby, Whitefish and the Flathead Valley offer a full range of outdoor activities with everything from water related activities on Whitefish Lake, golfing the 36 hole Whitefish Lake Golf Club, to enjoying the scenic beauty of Glacier National Park.

2nd time staying!
This was our groups 2nd time visiting Whitefish and staying at this great townhome. This year we rented both sides which accommodated our group of 16 nicely. I’m convinced this is one of the best options in the country for accommodating a large group with 8 bedrooms and 8 baths plus 2 half baths if you rent both sides. It is easy to walk to ski on Home Again run and walk to the free bus to town. We are in love with the architecture and style of this place. Communication with Rhonda the owner is always easy and the treats and wine she has on arrival is over the top service!

This is a beautiful property with the best stocked kitchen you could hope for. It is in a great location with access to the slopes just down the street. The beds are very comfortable and the living space is perfect for gatherings whether it be at meal time, to relax and visit or to sit around playing board games. This property exceeded all of our expectations and made our family trip memorable.

Annual Group Ski Trip
Wonderful property. This was our second time renting this side of the house, and third time renting the other side. Property and host couldn't be better. Highly recommend and book early. Our only complaint is that we have to get our act together for planning at least a year in advance, or the place is already booked.
