STUNNING PRIVATE VILLA - super 4 bedroomed detached villa with pool

Habibi House is situated on the edge of the village of Catalkoy. It offers uninterrupted views of the mountains to the south and views to the sea to the north. It is very private and not overlooked by any other property, being tucked away. It overlooks an ancient olive grove just next to the pool.

In Catalkoy village there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets and local facilities such as small shops. A few miles away is the famous town of Kyrenia (Girne in Turkish).

There are many supermarkets within five minutes drive from the house, also hairdressers, chemists, vegetable markets, off licenses, ATMs and banks. So getting your provisions for the house is very easy.

A must do is to drive the stunning road which takes you to the Panhandle and the Karpaz region which is a protected nature reserve. This is a lovely trip which you can do in a day. There are lots of little restaurants and guest houses in and around Dipkarpaz which are worth trying. Our personal favorite is Oasis at Ayios Phylon, have a look at it on the internet.

There is a local beach 5 minutes drive away at Catalkoy and other beaches further along the coast within easy reach. The house is well-positioned to explore the north and north east sides of the island generally. Google Earth co-ordinates are 35 19'10'N, 33 23'37'E.

Other Activities: Nature area on Panhandle (or Karpaz). Turtle beach at Alagadi, only 10 minutes from Habibi House, is famous as a nesting place for both Loggerhead and Greenback Turtles. There is a summer research center in the village and you can get involved in baby turtle releases and also guided night watches when the turtles come to lay their eggs.

Golf: There is a very good Golf course, The Korineum Golf and Country Club at Esentepe, which is only 15 minutes drive from Habibi House.

Boat day trips from Kyrenia Harbour are also very popular. There are many different gullets to chose from, some run fishing trips and some do day trips along the north coast.

All of North Cyprus is very beautiful indeed. It is worth coming in the Springtime too as the Island has an abundance of fabulous flora, including many species of orchid.

There are some wonderful walks in the mountains which boast three Crusader Castles, St Hillarion, Buffavento, and Kantara, all of which are worth a visit.
