Notes

• Guests tell us they like our place because of its charm and unique character. They are not looking for a "shiny, everything perfect, newly updated" house. Instead, our place is modest, (built in the 80's), a "labor of love" house that reflects our years of work -- constructing decks, painting railings, remodeling rooms, landscaping walkways, finding unique furnishings and always making sure that there are kayaks, fishing poles, rafts and other lake amenities to inspire friends and families to play and laugh together! We truly enjoy hosting guests. With that in mind, we don't make a large profit on the rental of our home. Most of the lease payment goes towards property tax, maintenance and upkeep. Rates are kept low by re-purposing materials and furnishings and by spreading out our maintenance projects over the year. (There are a number of improvements in the works so the house will never be advertised as a pristine, upscale, all new appliances, perfectly-manicured type home.)
