The location is central to town and activities. Quiet neighborhood and easy access to the bike/walking path as well as the lake and public beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookery; except baking sheets. And the washer and dryer are a nice bonus; though be aware that it is accessible via outside access. The house stays cool throughout the day, even when the temperature went above mid-80s. We never had to turn on the thermal night either. The bidet works well and reduces the amount of TP needed!
If you are used to sleeping on memory foam mattresses (i.e Casper) then you will find both mattresses to be very firm. These are not the beds for you. The closets are not setup for guest use. The shower has great water pressure but the hot water tank runs out after one shower of 10-15mins. So use less hot water and shower quickly if you have a lot of people in your party. The front porch is lovely for listening to nature however, the trees in August drop a lot of sap so if you value your clothes, beware that you will get sap on them and your body. That’s normal, but just a heads up to future renters.
This place was extremely clean. Decorated like a Tahoe cabin should be. Plenty of linens, paper supplies and information about the area. A great place!
Our family had a wonderful time at Shannon’s cabin. Check in was simple and Shannon was always available for any questions. We loved having meals out on the deck and the fact that we could walk to Eagle Rock right from our front door. Beds were comfy and the place looks just like the listing. Would easily stay again.
We had a fantastic time at the Homewood cabin. We loved that we had our own space and we’re able to cook and do laundry. We felt at home. We were in the perfect location to access everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. Quick drive to emerald bay, Tahoe city, kings beach, Truckee river etc. Shannon was communicative, attentive, and helpful. Thanks for a great stay. We can’t recommend it enough!
