Rustic cabin get away
Beautiful lake, cabin was semi-clean, needs a deep clean. Cabin has a strong, musty mothballs smell( not pleasant in my opinion). For the price that we paid per night, I felt that firewood should be included. We had some cold, rainy days and the inside electric fire sound like it was going to blow up so we had to turn the stove on to warm up the place. Barbeque that they provided was not in good repair and was full of cigarette butts.

Great get away
Loved our stay at Hathaway House. Beautiful location, unbeatable view. We really enjoyed the provided canoe and spent all day everyday on the quiet serene lake . Lots of trails to explore for bikers and ATV as well . Very quiet area. We will be returning next summer for sure.

A nice vacation
Great location, the view was beautiful. Wish we had known how steep the hill is to get down to the dock and back.

We are a retired couple with kids and grandkids that visit every year. We retired to the Cariboo because of the rugged beauty, peaceful lifestyle and the wonder of nature. We absolutely love it here!

Why they chose this property

This property is the only private residence for rent on Hathaway Lake. The lake has crystal clear water suitable for swimming, boating, fishing, skating in the winter and more. The property is easy to access with paved road all the way but still a private natural wonderland to play in. It is only 4.5 hours from the Fraser Valley which is an incredibly beautiful drive through the Fraser Canyon. For more info visit

What makes this property unique

This home is situated on the hill looking down over the lake with your own private dock for swimming, boating (canoe provided) or what have you. The house has been recently renovated and provides 2 huge decks to relax on while watching the kids play. There is even room for your dog (conditions do apply). This is a peaceful but exciting get away for the whole family.
