Wonderful weekend in Rockwood

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful weekend in Rockwood on the Moose river here. It was just two of us but the place is big enough for a whole family plus more. If you interested in the area and would like a lovely place to stay this is a good bet! Highly recommended.

One of the best rentals we've ever stayed at!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect cabin for my family of four. The property was extremely clean and fully furnished with everything we could possible need. We enjoyed the kayaks on the river and a nice campfire in the evening. We highly recommend this rental to anyone who wants to get away and relax.

Wonderful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We took our first vacation to Maine, and didn't know a lot about the state. This was a wonderful cabin located in a quiet area of Moosehead Lake. The house is located right along Moosehead River, and has its own private dock with kayaks available. The inside of the cabin was very clean and welcoming. There were all of the amenities listed, plus some extras in case you forgot anything. My 2 boys loved sleeping in the loft area! The screened-in porch on the back of the cabin was a great place to hang out in the early mornings or evenings. We loved having a mud room to put our shoes so that we didn't track anything into the cabin. The owners were very receptive to any questions or concerns that we had.

We paddled down the river in the kayaks, and saw 2 bald eagles and their nest on a nearby island on Moosehead Lake. Also, if you make this trip, be sure to take the ferry to Mt. Kineo and make the hike to the top. The Indian Trail was very difficult in places, but the views were incredible. Bug spray and snacks are a must for this trip. We are looking forward to our next vacation in Maine, and will probably be booking this cabin again! Thank you, Ryan and Shweta!
