A little bit of Wickford

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful visit in Wickford during the Thanksgiving Holiday season. This home has almost everything - perfect view - wonderful accommodations - loved having the linens available. Easy to entertain in this home for our extended family in RI. Would definitely rent again.

Lovely fall weekend

  • 5 of 5

My 2 sisters and I stayed in this cottage over a lovely October weekend. It was a mini-reunion in our hometown for the 3 of us who live several thousands of miles away from each other. The house is extraordinarily clean, comfortable, and well-situated within walking distance to the historic village. Absolutely lovely view off the back deck, where we drank coffee and watched the comings and goings of birds and boats each sunny morning. We 3 women would have loved one more bathroom, but it was otherwise just perfect for us. Easy check in and out, the owner communicates promptly and efficiently. We'll return!

Great Family Vacation Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The home was everything we imagined it to be. It was quaint, immaculate with breathtaking views of the harbor. Enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the deck. Spacious rooms with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Close walk to the village and a short drive to Newport and area beaches. Can't wait to return next year.

Wickford Vacation, a must on your bucket list!

  • 5 of 5

Back in December, while we planned our summer vacation to get away from the Arizona heat, my husband and teenage daughter wanted to go to Hawaii, again. I talked them into traveling to Rhode Island instead so we can experience the east coast beaches and its surrounding areas. I found the Wickford beach house through home away and what a wonderful find! We were greeted with fresh cut roses on the kitchen table. The house was immaculate and clean. My daughter and her best friend shared a bedroom upstairs and we had the master bedroom downstairs. Everything we needed was in the house (brochures galore of what to do, see etc), grocery stores were only a couple minutes away. We had fresh lobsters from the 'lobsta man' at the dock, bought fresh crabs and oysters from Gardner's Fresh Seafood also on the dock. Wickford is only minutes away from Providence, Newport, Narragansett etc. If we had a question, Ric always helped. The people we met were very friendly. This turned out to be one of our best vacations, thank you Pat & Ric for your kind hospitality!

Wickford: A Little Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

This home was absolutely beautiful! Everything was so clean and fresh. Upon arrival, there was a vase of Blue hydrangea's on the dining table. We immediately felt at home. Ric and Pat were such gracious host's. It was obvious that they take great pride in their home in the way that everything sparkled. The yard was so nice and well maintained. The house was just a short walk to the quaint little village of Wickford. The stores and shops had something for everyone, and it was easy to find everything. Anything that you may have needed ( as far as groceries, pharmacy, package store, the fish market, etc.) was conveniently located. The bakery had delicious breads and desserts! On the days that we wanted to do some sightseeing, we arrived at the Newport Mansions in just a short 15 minute drive. One of our favorite excursions was taking the high speed ferry from Quonsett Point. We went on the Lighthouse Cruise. It was a 90 minute tour which took us by ten different lighthouses, as well as into the Newport Harbor. It was a great activity and we all loved it! There was so much to do and see in the area. It was helpful that there were plenty of menus and brochures at the house. There was no shortage of information from our hosts. They were very helpful. Although everything was so close, we truly enjoyed being at the home. It was almost hypnotic watching the sailboats drift in and out of the harbor. The views were spectacular!! It was a week filled with beautiful weather, great food, fun things to do and see and a beautiful place to stay in. Thanks again to Ric and Pat for opening your home us.

Wickford: A Little Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

This house was spectacular! We were so happy to walk into a beautiful and spotless vacation home. Upon arrival, there was a vase of fresh Blue Hydrangea on the dining table. I immediately felt at home! Ric and Pat were very gracious hosts! It was evident in the decor and the landscaping in the yard that they take pride in their home. The rooms were fresh and clean and the home had everything that you could posibly need for a week. there were menus and brochures for all of the local spots. We found them very helpful. In the village, the little shops and restaurants had quaint gifts and delicious treats. The bakery had some amazing breads and desserts. It was nice to walk around the village and enjoy the local hospitality! On the days that we wanted to do more sightseeing, we hopped in the car and visited the Newport Mansions ( a 15 minute drive). One of our favorite trips was to Quonsett Point. We boarded a high speed ferry and took a Lighthouse Cruise. That was awesome! A 90 min. cruise that took you by 10 lighthouses and into the Newport Harbor. My family loved it! Because of it's great location, you get the benefit of staying in a charming place like Wickford, but you can visit other towns and beaches within 15 or 20 minutes. Everything that you would need as far as groceries, pharmacy, package store or fish market is just around the corner. There is so much to do in the area, but it was the view of the sailboats drifting in and out of the harbor that was almost hypnotic. It really made you feel relaxed and peaceful. This home truly had everything to offer and I would like to thank Ric and Pat again for opening up their home to us. This has been one of our best vacations by far!
