Holiday home, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 6)

The barn has been converted to a high standard, whilst retaining a wealth of character features. Accommodation has great charm and is very comfortably furnished and well equipped throughout, including oil-fired central heating and double glazing. Two delightful bedrooms - double and twin bedded, each with en-suite shower room/wc with heated towel rail, original beams and velux windows. Cloakroom/wc on ground floor. Very comfortable and extremely spacious L-shaped living/dining room with the original vaulted ceiling, TV, DVD, CD and large leather settee that converts to a double bed. Large dining area with rug on laminate flooring and pine table to seat 6. Spacious, fully fitted kitchen with laminate flooring, large breakfast bar, elec double oven + extractor and microwave - use of owner's washing machine and tumble dryer in utility room. Small private external area with garden furniture and shared use of owners walled garden with large lawn ideal for childrens play, and freedom of surrounding 120 acres. Parking for 2 cars.

Guests coming from abroad will be given bath linen.

The cottage is centrally located in the border zone of Devon and Sommerset. The decor is basic but complete and spacious. It is an ideal place for excursions to, for example, Minehead, Dunster and Taunton. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There are fantastic restaurants in the neighbourhood like “the beastro” in Dulverton and “the Swan” in Bampton.

Only drawback of this holiday was that one of the beds to be replaced.

Le gîte est bien placé pour découvrir la région, les propriétaires sont très accueillants mais la location ne correspond pas au descriptif de Belvilla pas de sèche linge et pas de jardin. Vue de l'entrée peu attrayante (salon de jardin à côté des poubelles et donnant sur des bâtiments non entretenus).

een fles wijn, brood,boter, en toen nog een verassing een bos bloemen op tafel.

jammer dat er geen tuin bij was, maar het landschap was één grote tuin. en daar hebben we volop van genoten.

de bedden waren nieuw en lagen perfect.

Zeer ruime voormalige barn, met goed ingerichte keuken. 3 WC's 2 badkamers (goed) zijn erg prettig. Alleen het matras van het 2-persoons bed laat te wensen over, dit ook aan de overigens zeer gastvrij Suze Dave doorgegeven. Welkomstpakket (welkomstkaart, brood, fles wijn, boter) was ook erg attent. Gunstig gelegen om het Exmoor National Park goed te verkennen, maar ook de South-West Coast, de Dartmoor of een grote stad als Exmoor ligt binnen dagafstand. Uiteraard ook volop gelegenheid tot wandelen, fietsen, of eventueel zwemmen in de zee (circa 60 minuten rijden). Supermarkten in Bampton (Spar) en Dulverton (Coop), beide op enkele kilometers afstand.

We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad in een prachtige en rustige omgeving. De ontvangst door de eigenaresse was zeer gastvrij. We voelden ons heel welkom.

De natuur is prachtig en er is genoeg te zien en te beleven in de omgeving.

De matrassen in het tweepersoonsbed waren niet heel geweldig. Voor het overige was het een heerlijk ruim huis, goed ingericht en met mooi uitzicht.
