Incomparable star-gazing, sunsets, and memories!!

Regardless of the number in your party, guests have the entire cabins property for your private use.

The two Queen Bedrooms each have their own private half baths; the Main Cabin has a 3/4 bath and the Bath House has a 3/4 bath (four toilets/sinks total in the complex). The Bath House is an independent cabin to serve those staying in the Bunk and Dorm Cabins or in tents. Dogs are more than welcome - and would love the place - but please let us know in advance: how many dogs, how large, whether they will be allowed to be inside, and if they shed . . please advise when booking.

The site is eight miles to Kellogg, ID - site of longest single-stage gondola in the world (for hiking & biking) and silver mine tours. Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail, Coeur d'Alene National Recreation Trail, English Point National Recreation Trail, and Farragut State Park are all within 25 miles of the compound.

Guests have access to 12-acre compound property plus vast forested land as far as the eye can see in every direction. Full outdoor kitchen including propane BBQ and Camp Chef; hammocks, lounge chairs, camp chairs, extra tables, and two additional full-size refrigerators.

The Cabins are at the end of a dirt road that rises roughly the height of the Statue of Liberty in about a half mile. The road surface does get dusty in the dry summer months.

Great cabin for families
We enjoyed our stay at the “cabin-retreat”. We (just 1 of us) used it as a base camp for exploring and fishing the North Fork CDA region. It is more well-suited for a larger group, say several families, who enjoy hanging out together. It is set up for outdoor meal prep and eating, which is fine if the weather complies. The interior kitchen is minimalistic with a very small 2-burner stove and no oven. You need to unplug the coffee maker to use the toaster oven. The sleeping cabins are nice and there is a washer-dryer and shower

We had the pleasure of staying at this retreat!
We had the pleasure of staying here in this cabin. Pro's- This place has Everything! Has a gorgeous outside patio area (covered) with barbeque, black stone grill, microwave and all the things you need to cook!Beds were comfortable, with comfybedding! The bath house was equipped with everything you might need! This property was clean, and had beautiful views! If you love being one with nature, this place is for you! Con's! This place is located in the STICKS! You're up in the mountains deep! The steep gravel road to reach this property is a bit sketchy! Straight up! Be prepared to use your 4 wheel drive, or all wheel drive for safety purposes! Camera's! Be prepared to be on camera 24/7. There are cameras located on every cabin! When you enter they warn you this place has 24/7 SURVEILLANCE! And they aren't kidding! I noticed at least 6 camera's! They watch them like a hawk! Absolutely NO PRIVACY! I had a unsettled feeling about it! Emails- She will comment on everything as your stay progresses. Whether it's on your pets, your members in your party, who is staying nightly, and so on... Fee's! Be prepared to PAY! there were hidden fee's and they changed their policies overnight! First Aid kit! If you're lucky you will not use it, however we were not! One of our friends recieved a spider bite on the wrist the first night while sleeping. His wrist swelled, and this made him sick! He had to stay back from fun activities to take care of this unfortunate bite!

We are a bunch of former (70’s) high school cross country teammates who get together each year to run a race. This year we ran the Hiawatha Trail and we needed a place that could accommodate our group. Bear Creek Cabins was perfect for us! Miriam is a wonderful host and had everything ready for our stay. The cabins are clean and well kept. The outdoor kitchen area is amazing and we spent a lot of our time just hanging out there. I would definitely recommend staying here.

One-of-a-Kind, indeed!
I booked this amazing property to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. From Spokane, WA., it is just an hour and 15-minute drive on I-90, making the Kingston area a perfect spot for weekend getaways. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a lovely welcome-to-the-cabin basket and even a card for my husband. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Owners were available via text or by calling in case we needed anything, which we didn't - as they have thought of EVERYTHING! The property is even better than the photos! Each cabin was immaculate and was supplied with anything you might need. It is the perfect place for gatherings large and small. The view - THE VIEW!!! it is one that is hard to put into words. Early morning with a cup of tea, watching the clouds in the canyon - and the sun rising - setting the tone for a perfect day. The sunset over the beautiful forest and valley below. I mean, I could get used to that. Plus, you just cannot beat time spent around the campfire at night. We are already planning our next trip to this amazing property. Gail Golden
