About this property

Condo 32 is located in the gated community of Pajaro Dunes, on the North side of Pajaro Dunes commonly known as the Shorebirds. The community is quiet and family friendly. Condo 32 is located in the first building of the Shorebirds condos, the condo is on the third floor so be ready for about 16 steps up from the second floor to the top floor, there is ramp access up to the second floor. Once inside the condo the view is worth the walk up. You'll have 180-degree views of the Monterey Bay. On a clear night you'll see from Monterey to Santa Cruz.

Beds:

There is a queen bed in each bedroom. Although this condo is a one-bedroom floor plan, it has a very unique floor plan as it offers a 2nd bedroom in the loft, which is accessible by staircase.

Beach Access:

The beach access is located at the ground floor of the building, only a one-minute walk to the beach.

Dryer Note, dyer is out-of-order:

Most condos offer a washer and dryer but note the dryer in condo 32 is currently out-of-order. We do offer laundry service with same day pick up and delivery as long as you call us before 3pm.

Firepits and wood delivery available:

Firepits are not on the beach full time but for an extra cost we can drop off firepits and wood to the condo. The pits are light weight, you can take them down to the sand, place them about 50ft from the nearest staircase and enjoy a bonfire, we do have a limited inventory so please order ahead.

We loved the rental condo for its atmosphere and proximity to beach. There’s a surprisingly well equipped kitchen. The views from all rooms were outstanding. The only downsides were a screeching dryer that dried clothes, but was very annoying especially since I felt that neighbors could hear it. The other thing was a very uncomfortable mattress and pillows on one of the beds.

Not worth the money

We stayed here for 5 nights. The view was amazing. Everything else was mediocre at best. The kitchen faucet was leaking, the dishwasher handle was not secure, the tv wasn’t working although we got a new tv within a few hours. The washer didn’t work and when I turned it on, the dryer ran in place of the washer. We were very frustrated. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable and the place was not maintained. I hurt myself getting out of the shower as it had an unusually high wall. My husband and I have a vacation rental in Tahoe and we would never leave it in disrepair like this.

The condo has great unobstructed views.

However, upon entry, a strong, unpleasant smell. We opened the windows for some fresh air. Once we closed the windows, in the evening and turned on the thermostat, the unpleasant smell settled in again. I suggest replacing the carpet? Tiles or laminate would be a better option, easier cleaning/disinfecting. Toilet seat was chipped in 2 places. Luckily the weather was fairly good, so we spent a lot of time on the beach. I don't recall being mentioned that no seasoning, salt&pepper is being offered. We drove all the way to Watsonville to get some. If the above will be taken care, we'll be glad to return in the future.

The best view at Pajaro but badly needs some upgrades

We are looking for a rental that we could return to 2-3 times a year now that we are retired. We found the view we were looking for in this unit--you won't find a better one anywhere at Pajaro Dunes! However, the seating and beds are quite uncomfortable. If these owners ever changed the furniture and improved the overhead lighting, we'd be back over and over again.
