Ask a questionAbout Holly and Scott
Scott grew up skiing in Vermont and we wanted to share the experience with our kids. We have owned the home since 2016 and have been busy with renovations and upgrades. During the projects, we have still been able to enjoy the house in all seasons and use it enough to figure out what was still needed in the kitchen, etc. We feel that it is finally at a place that we can share it with others and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
Holly and Scott purchased this House in 2016
Why Holly and Scott chose Stockbridge
We loved the unconventional look of the house and the private setting. The kids can play in the woods around the house or we can walk down the road to the river for swimming, fishing, or tubing. A short drive away and we can hike on the Appalachian Trail or the Long Trail, visit cute towns like Woodstock, tour ice cream factories, cheese makers, or breweries. They say you come for the winters but stay for the summers and they might be right! There is no shortage of things to do in Vermont in any season of the year.
What makes this House unique
Our house has a small, covered, deck off the dining room for grilling and/or dining or just enjoying a cup of coffee or glass of wine. A firepit and camp chairs can be set up on the driveway, which provides a fantastic location for star gazing (and s'more eating)! We have inner tubes for your use on the river. Put in at Peavine Park and pull out down the road at the bridge (both just a 15 minute walk from the house) or just hang around Peavine Park and float/swim around. Makes for a lovely, leisurely afternoon. Did we mention sledding in the winter? We have sleds for your use and no need to go farther than our own driveway! When you need to warm up, the house has a sauna upstairs and a lovely wood-burning insert in the living room.
