The River House is nested on the South shore of Wells Gray Park's pristine Clearwater River featuring local wood and river rock. It offers a private waterfront vacation rental to relax and explore the Park. Whitewater rafting with us is offered daily, huge highlight for many of our guests. The covered large South deck overlooking the river will give you a real retreat feeling. This 3 bedroom river heaven can sleep up to 6 people comfortably, ideal for a couple or a family of 4 to 6 people.
The RIVERSIDE - River House is unique in the way that it offers a beautiful stunning view of the Clearwater River from so many of its panoramic windows and covered porches. The construction has a lot of personality and character as its main indoor construction is cedar, fir and pine, with the outside siding from locally milled fir wood. It also feature a fireplace built from the local river rocks hand picked from right in front of the house during the low water season of autumn. The most relaxing spots are definitely from the dinning and living room areas that gives you a direct view onto the pristine Clearwater river that flows out of Wells Gray Provincial Park that is just upstream from the river house (that is where we offer our daily whitewater river rafting trips in the Park, see our web site for more details). The Riverside Cabana is also available and it is a self contained separate building on the same property at $130/night (again minimum of 2 nights, it can also be viewed on )

We can be reach by phone/text/email quite easily or simply by following the well marked river trail to our location, 5 minute walk upstream. At this location, you can also find a lovely lower open air wooden deck (just passed the rafting take out double staircases). You are welcome to use that deck at water level and perhaps meet other Guests staying with us at our RIVERSIDE Accommodations. There is WIFI connection available at the lower deck (password: welcome1 on the Guest House network). Enjoy your stay!
The surrounding neighborhood on Lodge Drive is a long time well established area of Clearwater with big mature trees and a variety of different dwelling constructions. The name Lodge Drive comes from back in the '50 and '60 when there was an actual hunting and fishing Lodge run by a local family next door our Riverside properties With its proximity to the wildlife plentiful Clearwater River corridor, it was an ideal location for such a Lodge. The River House is a 5 minute walk away from a few handy amenities such as: the Government Liquor Store (ya!), the Royal Bank of Canada, RIVERSIDE Rafting & Fitness Centre, Super Save convenient store, and a couple of restaurants close by (this is the old business centre of Clearwater, the new shopping mall with Buy Low grocery store/pharmacy is now located on highway #5 right across from the Wells Gray Park Information Centre (10 minute drive from the River House). Also a short walking distance away from this vacation rental is the swimming area and local Park on Dutch Lake. Two bikes (along with bike helmets) can be provided on site to the River House and Cabana guests to use for a nominal free, ask owner (this bike service is only available for use on local roads and paved trails, not for mountain biking)
