About this property

Our house is a beautifully decorated, pine interior, immaculate and private lake front home. It has 4 bedrooms with 2 baths, sleeps 6 and enjoys a spectacular private setting with a sandy bottom swimming area with lakeside dock and a floating swimming dock to make your vacation a pleasure. Indoor dining table seats 8 and overlooks the lake in addition to an outdoor dining patio. Rental also includes use of our two person kayak, broadband wireless internet, basketball on paved driveway, swing set, horseshoe pit and fieldstone fireplace in living room and outdoor fire pit with adirondack chairs.

Trickey Pond is one of the cleanest lakes in Maine. It has great fishing, swimming and boating (no jet skis allowed) and is about 60 feet deep with over 300 Acres. The house is only about 3 miles from the village of Naples (and the southern end of Long Lake) for dining, shopping and other activities. Portland is only 45 minutes away for fine restaurants, shopping and the ocean. Enjoy a great, relaxing vacation at our house in a beautiful setting.

We generally rent Saturday to Saturday. Exceptions can be made for low demand periods. Rental minimum 1 week for most times.

Great location beautiful house!!

Our stay on Trickey Pond was great! The weather could have cooperated more but that is Maine weather. The house was wonderful and the view of the lake was tremendous. We were not able to have a boat only because we ran out of time exploring to areas around us. Accommodations exceeded our expectations and the owners were great with communication. We would definitely stay again. I recommend this house to anyone who wants a quiet serine vacation. We loved hearing the loons at night !!

We just ended our wonderful experience at Birchwinds.

The place was really great.Clean,well equipped,The owners were a call away,or text.The place is beautifully, decorated,water access was nice.We brought our Harleys and canoe.The white mountains are close.It was a paradise for a week.We did not want to leave.I'm sure we will return next year.

Great Stay in a Beautuful, Well-Maintained Home

Birchwinds was everything the owners said it was. It was a pleasure to walk into a clean and attractive environment that provided everything needed for a comfortable vacation week for a family of six. Guidelines for occupancy a/k/a Rules of the House were very helpful. Owners made themselves readily available in the event they were needed for problem-solving, but there were none. The house is beautiful with so many attractive features that added to our pleasure. Lake access and the lake deck and dock were teriffic. We have rented other homes in the Naples-Bridgton area for many years, some of which were rentals only and some also periodically occupied by the owners. Birchwinds beats them all. It is perfect for a family of six, but any additional people would be a bit tight given that the house has 1 1/2 baths with one shower. Six or fewer? This place is for you! If we are six people next year instead of our usual twelve, we will certainly be back if Birchwinds is available. Thank you, Weissmans!

A wonderful week on Trickey Pond

We thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing, entertaining guests, kayaking, sunning on the dock and listening to the loons. While most of the time we were only 2 people, we were able to invite a few friends of our daughters to join us in this spacious home. We rented a small motorboat and parked it at the dock. The lake is very clean and provided us with ample opportunities to kayak and swim. Fishing was less productive than expected. The house is beautifully and comfortably appointed, and just 10 minutes from food shopping and dining. This is a nice retreat for a family to come, with plenty of space (easily 7 and possibly more in the loft). The owners seemed keenly interested in making our stay enjoyable.

We are a family of four who live in Florida but love the Lakes Region of Maine. After vacationing many years in this area, we found our perfect vacation house in 2003. We hope you enjoy the natural, unspoiled beauty of Trickey Pond as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Our house is on a beautiful lake, centrally located to many areas. Loons are a common sight and their sounds can be heard throughout your stay. Our house is private, yet on a paved road with friendly neighbors to meet and enjoy during your stay. You will have great access and views of the lake, fun swimming and water sports. Also enjoy campfires with our outdoor fire pit complete with adirondack chairs, a lakeside deck and complimentary use of our two seat kayak.
Portland is less than one hour away for great restaurants and fun activities. Freeport, with its outlets and LL Bean, is also about one hour, slightly north of Portland. The White Mountains are about an hour west in New Hampshire and Bethel, Maine. The surrounding towns including Naples, Bridgton, Casco and Windham all have activities and local restaurants to explore. Food shopping is nearby in Naples and Bridgton. There is a public boat ramp at the south end of Trickey Pond and a mooring buoy for securing a boat at our property if you would like to rent or bring your own (let us know if you need to moor a boat, no jet skis allowed on Trickey Pond).

What makes this property unique

Our house is located on a paved road about three miles to the causeway in Naples. You will find privacy, but also other houses on the street so you do not feel isolated. Our house has pine walls and ceilings as well as an outdoor fire pit for campfires to provide the true Maine lake experience in a comfortable setting. We also have a split unit AC unit which is uncommon in this area to keep you comfortable during summer heat waves.
