About this property

1BR 1 bath unit that is part of a multi-unit house. We also have a 2BR and 4BR unit at the same address. The 1BR unit is located 18 feet above ground level and has a wonderful view of the beach. The Muth Beach House has been in our family since 1953. The house is beachfront property so you literally walk across the dune to reach the ocean. The 1BR unit offers a Queen bed in the bedroom along with a pullout sofa in the seating area. Fully stocked and operational kitchen along with a spacious sitting area that looks out at the beach. The 1BR unit also has a full washer and dryer unit inside the rental unit. Common area decks offer outside enjoyment and seating. The Muth Beach House is located just 10 miles from Myrtle Beach airport and 3 miles from Murrells Inlet.
WiFi is offered throughout the property and cable televisions are in every bedroom.
Outdoor elevator is available to help reach each floor of the house.
Common outdoor grill can be used by all guests.
Check-in time is 3:00 pm
Check-out time is 10:00 am
All standard rentals are weekly and begin on Saturday afternoon. For possible rentals not beginning on a Saturday or not being for 7 nights, please contact the owner to discuss.

Beach and business trip

Lovely property. Amazing beachfront view from living room wall of windows! Unit was clean and most things you would need for a week are provided. Would recommend.

Family vacation

Property is exactly as described in the listing. This is a multi unit condo so keep that in mind when reserving. The only thing we disliked was the fact we had to share the balcony (we knew it up front as it is described in the listing ), luckily we had a great couple staying in the 2 bedroom unit beside us, so we just respected each other’s time and used it when they wasn’t out there. I could see it being a issue depending on who your neighbors are for the week. I wish they would build a small private balcony on the front of the one bedroom unit as well. Other then that the unit is clean, it does need a few minor repairs done but that’s to be expected in a rental. The location is perfect. We felt safe and loved being directly on the beach. The property manager Pat and the owner Michael are great to deal with and very responsive to any questions we had, from the moment we started looking at the property on VRBO, to the day we checked out. We would definitely stay here again. And highly recommend this unit!

Beach Weak

Nice place on the beach. Some check in info needs updates (check-in time, keys availability). Place was clean but could have been better, however, the place had just been vacated by a four-month snowbird and they really did not have time to do a deep cleaning after that extended stay. But, it was generally OK.

Yes, legend has it that our Grandfather won this property in a poker game back in 1953. Since that time this beach house has become a very special place for our family to visit and enjoy. The original house was built in 1953 and destroyed by Hurricane Hazel in 1954. It was rebuilt and back in operation by 1956. Hurricane Hugo badly damaged the house in 1989. Our Grandmother's resiliency and determination rebuilt the house again with the grand reopening to its current state in 1991. Grandmother loved this house and considered it her home. The two Muth grandchildren now own the L.A. Muth Beach House, and we are proud and happy to be able to share this special place with others. We completed a full interior update and added a new outdoor deck in 2016. We hope you come and see the new place!
