About this property

At DuPont Forest - Newer cabin designed for relaxation and comfort.

Shoal Sound is located on DuPont Road with easy access to the miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls of DuPont Forest. We are only 10 miles from downtown Brevard and Hendersonville. The cabin offers all you could need to relax or rest after a day of adventure. We have WIFI, satellite TV, comfortable beds and a large porch to just sit and relax

Bedroom one has a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and linens, satellite TV, Grandmas wardrobe closet, and an antique dresser. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower.

Bedroom two has a twin trundle bed with comfortable mattresses and linens. The second bathroom is just outside the door.

The living and dining area features a gas log fireplace, large entertainment center containing games, books, DVD player and a large TV with satellite access.

The kitchen has all the features you would want and expect have to make your stay like being at home. All appliances are new - large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, farm sink, granite counter tops, coffee maker, Keurig, and microwave. If something is missing, let us know, and we'll get it. We spared no expense to create a beautiful kitchen for you to enjoy.

The porches are sure to be a favorite of guests. Listen to the sound of Shoal Falls from the swing or rockers. We even put a dining table on the porch for you to enjoy the surroundings. A small porch off the back has a small table and a park style charcoal grill.

Hikers Delight

Cute little getaway in the mountains! We really enjoyed the fire pit and grill and the short distance to the hiking trails. Relaxing and comfortable. Enjoyed listening to the rush of water in the background as we sat on the porch. It was also a short distance to the shopping centers in Brevard and Hendersonville. Would definitely return!

Lovely Canin!

We’re so glad we found this cabin in this beautiful area of our country! It is clean, private and had just about everything one could need during your stay. It is convenient to Pretty Place Chapel, the town of Brevard where there are many quaint shops and some great restaurants (Square Root=favorite) and many scenic hiking/waterfall areas. It was a treat to relax in such a peaceful place. We hope to be back again!

Ideal Location to Dupont,Pisgah,Caesars Head

Charming little house with great outdoor living space close to Hendersonville, Pisgah, Brevard and 5mins to Dupont. Absolutely an ideal location. Connie is very accommodating. I totally messed up our reservation and she was so easy to work with. We would come back here again.

A Wonderful stay

We were suprised by this cozy little cabin. It's tucked away, out of site from the public. There is a waterfall near by that is pleasant to listen to while one relaxes on the patio and during the night when it's time for bed. I was even able to spread out and star gaze. There was no sly pollution, so I had a clear view of the night sky. The interior was well done and clean when we arrived. We didn't use the fire place, but it was nice to just admire. It felt like a place one would want to call home. I'm so glad we picked this property. I'd like to stay again, the next time I visit the area.

We are David and Connie Corn. We are Brevard, NC natives. We graduated from Brevard High School together and married soon after. Our first date was a walk to High Falls on the Dupont Property. We built our home near Dupont, and in 2008 moved a small cabin onto our property. When time and money allowed, we renovated it to become a vacation rental. This was in between school, college, weddings and grandkids. We hope you will enjoy staying in our little cabin, relaxing to the sound of Shoal Falls and will come again.
