If you would like to stay on a beautiful, crystal clear lake - with quiet sunsets - our place is perfect for you. We are tucked in a cove which blocks some of the wakes - however, open to the main channel on the lake. We have a great private swimming area and two different areas to explore on kayaks. Fantastic location: 5 minutes to gas and groceries, about 10 Min from Arley, 20 minutes from Jasper, An hour from Birmingham -. 3 BR/ 3 BA - lakefront home on one of the main channels of the Beautiful serene location on the rock banks of one of the cleanest lakes in North America - Lewis Smith Lake; Close to Duncan Bridge Marina. You can enjoy water activities of all kinds in addition to wonderful views and wildlife. Just steps from year-round deep water view yet tucked in, so if you bring your family and friends - plenty of room for safe swimming fun.
Just a few steps from the back door is the lake - there is a swim platform and place to tie up your boat on the side of the dock - Two kayaks with life jackets available if you would like to fish from or just paddle around - this is available at no charge.

Great getaway

Enjoyed the gorgeous views, nice outdoor space, and appreciated the tidy, well stocked home. The owners were great with communication. Can’t wait to return!

Definitely “A Happy Place!”

Our family had a great stay at this lake house. The view is gorgeous! We enjoyed the main porch, the screened-in porch, as well as, the boat dock. There was ample seating on each level. Unlike other vacation homes, this owner had everything in the kitchen that we needed to cook and eat with. They also had games to enjoy! We highly recommend “A Happy Place.”

Family Vacation

We had a really great time. Very relaxing!!!! Thought there would be more to do around the area. The toilet was broken when we got there. They couldn’t come and fix it until Tuesday. After they fixed it it still did not work. Other then that is was a good trip!!!!!

This lake house is lovely !! The veiw is amazing !! The area is soo nice . The house is so clean and very guest friendly .. It’s an excellent place to stay . I only wish we could have stayed longer .

You can see the lake from both Master Suites, Kitchen & Den. Great home for family vacations, Girl's Trips, Fishing Trips, etc. We have lots of covered decking and uncovered decks. Year round water for fishing, kayaking, swimming and relaxing. You are a few steps away from one of the cleanest lakes in North America. We were lucky enough to be on HGTV Bargain Lake Hunters. You can see our house and see why we picked it - we think its the best house on Smith Lake especially with our million dollar view.
