A BRAND NEW HOME
Perfect Washington State vacation / holiday getaway rental by owner in this lakefront setting on Lake Morton, WA near the town of Covington, Washington. This once modest 1950's ranch style home has gone through a massive transformation in 2013. Designed by Matthew Coates Design and constructed by Mehl Homes, it now features modern, northwest architecture living room, dining room and cook's dream kitchen with simple lines, open concept, original restored wood floors and wood-burning fireplace, custom millwork, soaring ceilings, modern lights and lots of natural light and spectacular lake views.

UNMATCHED LAKEFRONT BEAUTY
While the home is special, the natural setting of Lake Morton and the property may be even better! 100 feet of beach lakefront and dock and a large yard set on an acre of beautiful, Northwest landscape, with views of Mt. Rainier. The house has two comfortable, quiet and dark bedrooms (perfect for deep, relaxing sleep), one large and one moderate sized.

ULTIMATE LAKEFRONT GETAWAY
Bring work or leave it all behind. Includes a flat-screen TV, cable, DVD movies, music CD's and stereo. If you have to check email or take an important call, you can do so with free WIFI and good cell phone coverage. Best of all, you can do both while sitting on the end of the the dock on the lake.

SHARED ENTRY to TWO PRIVATE SPACES
We have a full time tenant who lives in the semi-detached studio cabin. She is quiet, trustworthy and a great gal. She takes care of our hot tub and can help with any questions you may have.

SHOPPING & SERVICES NEARBY
You won’t have to be prepared to arrive at Lake Morton, WA. There is Costco, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Walmart, many restaurants, and three (3) Starbucks just 10 minutes away!

IDEAL WASHINGTON STATE VACATION / HOLIDAY RENTAL
The house is ideal for a friends getaway, one or two couple on hiada, or a family with kids. The larger bedroom is outfitted with a TV, movies, games, books and bunk beds for a flexible space away but just adjacent to the main living space.

Beautiful and spacious house on Lake Morton
Jennifer‘s lake house, among beautiful gardens, is the perfect vacation spot with an amazing kitchen and awesome views from the wall of windows in the house and from the deck. The house is fully equipped with all you need to prepare meals and barbecue. There are even spices in the cupboards and condiments in the fridge. We really enjoyed our two week stay and Jennifer is the perfect host.

fantastic!
We went for a Thanksgiving trip and to spend a few days with our son who goes to college at UW. The house is even better than it looks online! Great views out on the lake, a great kitchen and a cozy living room with a large dining table. It had everything we needed, including a jacuzzi, which everyone loved. It rained quite a bit, but it didn't matter because the house was so nice and warm (no forced air, but radiators, which provide such a nice, cozy heat). The only small negative is a single bathroom, but it worked out ok for the 4 of us. Jennifer, the host, was great, super responsive. Great stay, we need to go back in the summer.

Beautiful lake house
We love this house because it’s a beautiful lakefront location, yet not far from groceries, restaurants, etc. The kids loved the big backyard, board games, stuffies, piano and water activities.

About the host

Hosted by Jennifer Ayre

Host profile image
Jen purchased the home when she was working as a High School music teacher locally. She's since moved onto become a Sommelier, entrepreneur and wine educator. Brent is a tech executive.

Why they chose this property

We love the history of the property - the 'cabin' was the first building built on Lake Morton in the early 1950's. We love how the house is set back from the lake, taking advantage of lake views, providing privacy and a large yard. The original owner was President of the local gardening club so many interesting plants live on the property. Best of all is the lake - beautiful year round.

What makes this property unique

Given Jen's past in Seattle area and Brent being from Vancouver, BC originally, the home has served as a place for friends and family to congregate and share many a fun memorable time in this special place. We hope you'll enjoy the revamped living space, lake views, deck, yard and lakefront as a stage for your next romantic or social or family occasion as much as we enjoy the home and property.
