About this property

Peaceful & Beautiful Idaho Log Lodge w/ Activities

Beautifully restored log Lodge 15 miles east of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Nestled in the beautiful and peaceful Heise Hills, recreation abounds both on site and in the immediate area. Aspen Grove Inn at Heise Bridge provides dozens of complementary activities including pedal boats, bicycles, badminton, volleyball, croquet, and bocce. Nearby is Heise Hot Springs and Summer Pool/Waterslide, Pizza Parlor, mini-golf, Par 3 Golf Course, driving range, hiking, zip lines, and hundreds of miles of ATV trails. The South Fork of the Snake River is right across the road.
The Lodge has been completely remodeled with granite counters, venetian plaster, updated stainless steel appliances, fine carpets and original paintings. The Lodge includes 3 queen beds (including two queen pullout sofas with feather beds, down comforters and down pillows), 1.5 baths including an XL Jacuzzi tub, a large shaded backyard with picnic tables, a large Main Room for gathering and playing a piano, ukelele, guitar and phonograph, and a gorgeous full-stocked kitchen.
The Lodge with our four real log cabins, two glamping tents, RV & Camp, plus open-air Pavilion create and easy and affordable family reunion site (totals 11 beds and 5.5 baths). Open year round. There is an innkeeper’s residence in the basement lower level on busy weekends and during weekdays in case there are any issues on busy days. Per a past review of the Lodge, housekeeping staff no longer enters in the side door to drop off laundry into the lower level. If you have any questions about this arrangement, please contact us.

Charming Rural Getaway
We arrived after dark and were delighted by the outdoor Christmas light display on the property. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed except the ice maker in the fridge did not work. We liked that there was a library full of classical books, and the comfy sofa and chairs invited afternoon and evening reading. We would have sat by the fire to read, but the lighting was poor. End tables and lamps would have been nice. We prefer a king bed; however, the queen bed was comfy. If we are in the area again, we will definitely consider another stay at this property.

Very peaceful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We used this more as a hub for sleeping after our various activity full days. It was nice to have a place large enough that we could spread out. This would be perfect for a small family reunion especially if you rented the lodge and some of the surrounding cabins. Our only regret is that we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful surroundings enough! Highly recommend!

Beautiful Lodge
This place was beautiful and perfect for a couple or Family. The lodge and grounds are top notch. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars in that the second bedroom has only a pull out couch in it and I think that is a little deceiving. Also, the basement is used by the staff for cleaning other units on the grounds so there are people coming in and out the back door by the Kitchen between 11 and 4. The staff is very kind and courteous so this was not a big deal to my party, it just would have been nice to know what was happening.

Favorite location ever...even my kids say so
We loved staying here. The cabin is even more spacious and comfortable then expected. The property itself is just lovely. We so enjoyed the paddle boats, the bikes that were free to use, the games in the borrow barn. And if we'd had more evening time there, we certainly would have enjoyed the fire pits. We are so grateful for our time there and hope to return.

Not happy, false advertisement!
When we booked our stay it said nothing about other random people we didn’t know staying in the basement while we stayed upstairs. Had we known that we would of stayed somewhere else. It made us feel very uncomfortable and we were not happy. The only reason I’m giving one star is because the location and the upstairs of the lodge was beautiful.

Why they chose this property

Peaceful and quiet place in Idaho that has a strong reputation for family reunions, romantic getaways, recreation, and the occasional wedding. Incredible wildlife viewing along the Snake River which is just across the road. Heise Hot Springs and Kelly Canyon Ski Hill are the two main draws to this Idaho countryside canyon, plus amazing scenic drives and fantastic regional activities such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Idaho Falls museums, Rexburg Rapids Water Park, BYUI campus, and Bear World. Most guests appreciate staying at least 3 nights to take it all in.

What makes this property unique

The year-round recreation and stunning sunrises and sunsets, as well as the peaceful countryside drew us to the Inn. We love being here, and we think you will too. Our motto is, "Stories Worth Sharing Rarely Begin With, 'So We Decided to Stay In.' " No-fee recreation on site includes pedal boats on our Pond, bicycles and helmets, a 9-hole disc golf course with discs, scorecards and maps, volleyball, tetherball, horseshoes, badminton, corn hole, and even a Little Free Library #69967.
Overall, our Inn is a place to heal, bond, and reconnect. Our guests say we deliver on that.
