Memory maker for sure!
We chose this house to treat our great nieces and nephews ages 5-14. They lost their mother to a car crash last year, and we wanted to give them some summer fun. The house is rustic, as you can see, beds were comfortable and clean, and was the perfect place for our adventure. Kayaking up stream to the head spring is a bit of a challenge, but we saw a manatee, otter, owls, an alligator etc.... The kids loved the small zip line, swing and "monkey bars". They also used the fishing poles and played with their own water guns at the river. Adults can hang out in the screened gazebo to keep eyes on the kids and there is a ton of porch and deck space for entertaining. If that isn't enough fun Jellystone campground is about an hour drive with a great small waterpark for day use! The owners have been great to work with as well. R. Edwards

My wife and I went to college in FSU and then moved back here in 2004. We have loved raising our three children in the Tallahassee area and exploring how much North Florida holds in store. Though the beach can be fun, I really fell in love with the springs and rivers in the Panhandle. Splash in the cool water on a hot summer days and the myths of the fountain of youth begin to make sense. Having paddled this more secluded river before, we were thrilled a few years ago to buy this property! Now we get to spend more time on the river and share it with others too.
