The terrace is a delightful place to have lunch or relax over a slow dinner in the evening listening to the owls cuckoos and other sounds of the countryside. The pool is very private pool on high level with magnificent views, no immediate neighbours just the abundant sounds of wildlife yet only 1 mile from the village with bakeries pharmacy etc and only 20 minutes from Aix en Provence, and a short drive to Loumarin and other famous villages of Provence. Excellent nature walks and Mountain biking on your doorstop. Mountain bike and hybrid touring bike provided. Only 15 minutes from the international classical music festival in La Roque-d'Antheron, 5 minutes from the chateaux which host the classical guitar festival, 15 minutes from Chateau le Coste with its fine wine and art and nature tour. 45 minutes to Cassis on the Mediterranean , 45 minutes to Avignon, 1 hour to the Alps, 45 minutes to the Gorge du Verdon with its beautiful lake for a fun day with the kids.

The owner bought this property because of its excellent location in terms of its proximity to Aix and Marseille airport but also the beauty of the landscape and surrounding areas which have vivid astounding beauty in every season.
The privacy and tranquility of the grounds with its wonderful views but at the same time its closeness to all amenities and the nature walks right on your doorstep is what made the owner fall in love with this place.
We stayed in Patrick's house in Rognes in June last year. The house is kept in excellent condition, its clean and fully equipped with all necessary
cooking untensils, and the description was accurate. The house manager was most helpful and went out of his way to inform us of all the many delights to be found in the region. We enjoyed the pool, the magnifcent views and the proximity of the house to Aix-en-Provence, and the markets in the nearby
villages. We would certainly like to stay there again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay in Rognes. The village itself is charming and laden with history. The area is Provence, so needless to say full of interesting places to visit. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool, located beside the house but higher up so that the views are amazing! The owner and his managers really helped us out with everything we needed, as well as giving us lots of tips about local places to visit. Definitely 5 stars! We'll be back.
The tour of Chateau le Coste is a must with its fine wine and art work by famous architects, Aix en Provence is rich in culture, visit Cezanne's studio, the museums, markets and retail all clustered near Cour Mirabeau in the city centre, wonderful safe cycling right from the house within minutes you can be cycling by vineyards, sunflower fields, poppies or visit Bonnieux, Lourmarin or Gordes and see lavander fields on the way only a 20 minute drive away. In July the International Piano Festival is in La Roque d' Antheron only about 5 kms away, numerous jazz nights in the area as well as fequent live concerts in the natural auditorium which used to be a quarry on the edge of the village just a kilometre from the house.
