Why Tommaso De Masi chose Lucca
It was my first money investiment. I renovated it twice trying not to lose the original characteristics.
What makes this Apartment unique
When my clients arrive they say that they feel at home. I am referring to my apartment before the total renovation. I suppose they will feel at home also now, after the renovation. I like helping people, coming from all over the world, to spend their holidays in Italy by offering them holiday accommodation and interesting and fun things to do, i.e. a , cultural or gastronomical tour, Italian lessons, cooking or painting courses or anything else they might want to do during their stay in my apartment.

Our time in Lucca
My friend and I had a wonderful time in Lucca. Tomasso is a charming host, who met us at the train station and gave us a ride back there at the end of our stay. His apartment, thoroughly modern, in a building from the 13th Century is quite spacious for a stay of any length of time. Tastefully decorated. Quite convenient to small bakeries and grocery stores, as well as coffee shops and gift stores. Christine and I were able to walk to many attractions within the walled city; the location of the apartment, with the use of a map, is nice. Quiet at night. We liked it very much.
Thank you for the nice review. I am happy that you appreciated the location of my apartment and the beauty of Lucca. I wish you the best hoping that you will recommend my apartment to your friends, willing to visit our town and country. Do not forget that I have also a little apartment for a couple in Pietrasanta, the town of artists, called also the little Athens.
I hope to see you again!
A brilliant apartment in beautiful Lucca.
The apartment is superb and tastefully furnished and decorated. It was spotlessly clean and had everything one could hope for in a rented holiday apartment. The apartment is perfectly situated in the walled city. Access to public transport is easy. The owner, Tommaso, could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended!
Thank you for having been in my apartment in Lucca.
I hope to meet you again in future.
I wish you the best
Nice, Comfortable Apartment
Nice, comfortable apartment. There is a bit of street noise in the front room, but both bedrooms can be made dark & quiet. Tomaso is a considerate host and took time to meet me and acquaint me with the place. Would happily stay there again.
Thank you for your review.
I hope to meet you again in future and to come and catch you using my new car. Sorry if I created some troubles!
Excellent Location Excellent Host
The apartment is very well appointed and well maintained. The location is excellent. Tomasso is the perfect host.
It was a pleasure to host Thomas and his partner. What a pity that their stay was very short. Perhaps Lucca and our region , full of cities of art , deserved a longer stay. Will it be for the next occasion.? Thanks anyway for choosing my apartment and for suggesting my house to your friends.
Much much more
This sparkling apartment was much more than I expected. Not only was it comfortable and filled with all the extras that can help guests feel at home.
Most importantly though was the attention that owner Tommaso showed me before, during, and after my stay of 2 weeks. He made certain to tell me about two special musical events, and I was very happy to attend. He made sure that I knew the best way to travel to Cinque Terre. He picked me up at the train station upon arrival from California and then helped me catch the bus when leaving. Please consider this apartment when you go to Lucca. You will be totally pleased as was I.
Thank you. It was a pleasure to meet you and share the love I have for music, art etc.
See you soon!
Excellent location and helpful owner
We had a wonderful week in this clean, comfortable, spacious and well located apartment.
Tommaso was so friendly and helpful, picking us up from the station and taking us back at the end of our stay. Everywhere within the walls was in easy walking distance and we found some lovely restaurants and delightful local shops. Walking to the station took about 15 minutes and there were direct trains to Florence and Pisa.
Thank you Tommaso for a fabulous week.
Thanks for the kind words and comments on my apartment. Unfortunately I had not much time to let you know better our town and our region that surely deserve another visit. I am sure that Scotland is also a beautiful country but that, until today, I have not yet had the opportunity to visit despite being invited many times by my friends living in Glasgow. I hope to see you again.
The apartment is at the first floor (not ground floor) and it offers a very good quality standard.
It has been recently new-renovated without losing its original character (terracotta floors, timber beamed ceiling, etc.
The spacious sitting – kitchen looks onto Via della Zecca and has a sofa, armchairs, TV and internet connection . The kitchen with dining area is completely equipped. Both the large peaceful double bedroom (air-conditioned) and the single bedroom look over the internal courtyard (two little balconies). There is a new renovated bathroom with shower.
The choice of a large kitchen / living- room is because the kitchen is more and more a place opened to 'being together' without the walls to divide the rooms, without interruption in the space and in the time with the living room. The owner has felt therefore the need of a stylistic contamination between the area of the preparation of meals and the area of the relation, between the space for cooking and the living space in the diversity of the functions. It changes the kitchen but it changes the living room that integrates with areas of the house previously separated.
Not far from the shopping area and the old walls, a green belt, surrounding the historic centre.
