About Ashley Akhtar and Kamal Akhtar
My husband and I lived in this house for over a year. We enjoyed walking to the forest park, Zoo and science center. We also enjoyed easy access to two highways (I-64 and 44). Most of the restaurants in Dogtown are not too far from our house. We both work in healthcare field, I am an OBGYN nurse practitioner and my husband is an ER nurse as well as he teaches at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College. We just moved to St Peters and decided to share our house with other guests. We recently renovated our kitchen and had custom built cabinets by Amish and handpicked everything that was put in kitchen. We are excited to share our house with our guests. Ashley and Kamal

Damage and incidentals

Such a lovely place, the neighborhood is quiet. The place is right in the middle of everything. Will definitely be back.
My daughters and I enjoyed a quiet and comfortable stay in this impeccably maintained home. We were there to celebrate with family in Warson Woods. The house is just a few minutes from a grocery store and a coffee house, Foundation Grounds, that featured many vegan and vegetarian options. A few blocks away has you on the freeway to all the popular St. Louis destinations. We only had time for the City Museum and the out door ice arena (we are from California so this was really cool for us). The little downtown area of Dogtown is really cute and we wished we could have explored a little more. Being Christmas, I especially like being so close to last minute shopping and supplies (Walmart, shopping mall, mom and pop toy store (10 minutes away) was the best and had so many cool gift ideas - Happy Up, Inc.) My baby grandson came to visit, so the high chair and outlet safety was appreciated. We would definitely stay here again.
Charming little house in a great location
We stayed at the property over the Thanksgiving holiday and were very happy with the space. House is quite charming and everything was clean and comfortable.
If you stay in VRBO properties often, here is how it compares to some others: Kitchen: Great updated kitchen. Dishes, pots & pans, etc. are well stocked. No leftover containers if you are cooking over a multi-day stay so grab a pack at the grocery store when shopping. Spices and condiments were minimal - I believe there was just salt and pepper. Lots of coffee choices. Bathroom: Towels were in excellent condition and extras were available. Had extra toiletries if needed. No counter space but there is a closet with lots of open space on the shelves to store everyone's bath kits. Parking: We did have some issues with parking - our spot in front of the until was taken about half of the time and the secondary parking location was also bumper to bumper full on Thanksgiving Night so we wound up parking in front of another unit a few doors down. There was always a spot open somewhere close but we felt bad for taking someone else's spot. Might have been worse for us due to the holiday. Bedrooms: Beds and linens were great. Main bedroom only had one outlet which is not near the bed (old house drawback). There is a power strip if needed. Location: If you like exercising outdoors the location is AMAZING - so close to Forest Park and such a fun little neighborhood for running or walking. There are maps at every junction in the park so you can easily explore and create your own route. Selection of shops and amenities nearby are great as well. Highly recommend Imo's Pizza.
All that said, I would definitely stay here again. No "negatives" mentioned above were a problem for us. Just helps you prepare if you are considering a stay here.
We enjoyed staying here! Cute house with lots of charm. Was perfect for what we needed it for. We will be back!
