Photos and Description of this Macalester - Groveland holiday apartment

2 - 3 Bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sleeps 4

Modern and welcoming, Grand-Cambridge Apartments located on St. Paul’s historic Grand Avenue are available for short-term rentals in June and July. Grand Avenue, is popular for its cafes, coffee shops, bakeries, bookstores, art galleries, boutiques, and more. Beyond its architecture and amenities, the neighborhood also earns superlatives for safety: the St. Paul Pioneer Press rated it one of the two safest in the metropolitan area. The winding, tree-lined streets of the immediate neighborhood have earned it the nickname 'Tangletown,' and it is one of St. Paul's most popular neighborhoods. Stretching for four miles through the neighborhood and meandering from the campus to the Mississippi River, Summit Avenue is the longest, best-preserved street of Victorian homes in the nation and a favorite boulevard for walkers, joggers, and cross-country skiers. Centrally located between both down towns, we are the perfect location for an extended stay in the Twin Cities.

Coin-operated laundry on each floor, elevator. Basic cable is provided but units do not have TVs. 1 designated off-street parking spot per unit. Bed linens provided on request. Perfect location for snowbirds, summer interns, family visits, or corporate training stays in the Twin Cities.

Summer Stay 2008 - Excellent

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for families. We stayed for one week, with enough room and beds for everybody. Only practical comment is the mattresses were typical dorm fare, but adequate. Great location. Elevator is a plus. Central air.

Great Location - Great Value

  • 4 of 5

A great place to stay but very much a college apartment. We travel quite a bit and lie to rent apartments and this was one of the more poorly fitted out ones we've stayed at. The sheets would not stay on the mattress and were very thin as were the towels. No bath mats, only one small frying pan, no pot holders, nothing to make coffee in, no TV but good cable, etc., etc. That said we are planning on staying there again next year as our children live in the area, with no room for us, and we can borrow what the apt. is short. The location is wonderful and the apartment itself was very good and very clean. We'd certainly recommend it.
